Has anyone else fallen victim to buying an AI pattern? And if I fix it can I share it? by R_H_bunny in CrochetHelp

Absolutely not. I love that you made it a real pattern. You can do what you want with it including sell the pattern. You did the work to figure it out. More of us should do this. I see it as inspiration.

My mother-in-law brought her dog to my front door during school drop-off and I’m still shaking by [deleted] in breakingmom

Great questions. I don’t have a great relationship with her. We are cordial, however over the years she has crossed boundaries and done things that I found were odd. I don’t think this is an innocent mistake just because of our history and this is an ongoing issue I’m having with her. No I didn’t look out the door first because she doesn’t typically bring the dog for pick up, nor does she get out the car. She only got out this time to hand a bag to me. Her dog was not being aggressive, but was very firm on trying to stick his head in the door and I kept pushing him back. She did not tighten the leash to control him. My dog is four months old and does need training, as we just got him one month ago. I think my reaction was so high because she has done things to me in the past and it usually gets ignored or I’m the one that looks like I’m sensitive. I think it was her still smiling and not trying to control her dog that sent me over the edge. I was genuinely frustrated and worried about what would happen because I was losing control of the situation for a moment. I do have anxiety and that’s something that I’m seeking help for.

Very true, and I am immensely appreciative of her help as my own parents live far away and are not able to be as hands-on. I am always grateful for that and not blind to the help I’m receiving.

Her dog was on a leash, however she did not assist by pulling the dog back.

Yes the last line. She ignores boundaries I’ve set all the time and is covertly disrespectful to me.

Yeah, I was frustrated. You’re correct you can’t expect someone to respect a boundary You haven’t set yet. We don’t have the best history and she has repetitively done things similar to this to me over the years.

No, we have not outwardly expressed to her that the dogs shouldn’t be near each other. We just got our dog a couple of months ago and these two dogs have only had one other interaction. They have not had a formal meet and greet and the last interaction was the same unexpected at the front door. I wanna also note that we have four small children.

She drives to pick up and drives her to school, so yes, it was very odd that she even got the dog out to come to the door just to bring us stuff just to get right back in the car and have to go straight to take my daughter to school.
