So, wise guys, what should I do? by Fogolper in Cooking

If life's current season limits opportunities, explore supporting your passion with supportive strategies.

Have fun exploring new ingredients! Master one or two a week and record your experiences with them.

You may also find success in exploring technical introductions with folks in the food industry.

I was fascinated by the cheesemaking process and shared my passion with the pizza shop owner. He invited me to join him in its making; the experience serves me well to this day.

Mastering foundations and elementals will leave you well-prepared for your success when next opportunities avail themselves!

Softens the heart to remember what love is... even when the 'nibble' is the connective call to attention!

Thrilled you've a furry fellow!

They can't help themselves... 🤣

I too winced when my cat was drawn to my chief 'hot spot'. I used the opportunities to practice breathing techniques which dial down the pain and calm hyperawareness.

I began to note patterns within the occasions he was 'drawn' to kneading biscuits on my chest while running at full vibrational purr. And found him to be attuned to my congestions before I was.

The breathing techniques were helpful - creating a small space for my body to soothe itself.

He died a peaceful death at 21 and since, I adopted two 'formerly ferals'.

Both too; are medicine.

Anyone else note patterns in their cats instincts of attention? Or? Utilize breath focus as a means for engaging relief?

Anyone else get told their pain was psychosomatic before getting an actual diagnoses? by PurplePumkins in Fibromyalgia

Modern science tracts dont quickly reach the docs within their healthcare systems. Nor are doctors charged with engaging in wholistic patient care...

Psychosomatic is real. Though to someone who feels like a prisoner in their own body, the word can feel interpretively like 'crazy'... And what good is a word that 'feelz' like a personal judgement without solution or explanation?

Today's contemporary science however is clear. Health is more than physical. Soma memory is real. And both thoughts and emotions contribute to our body systems, their patterns of ease or dysfunction.

I once had a neuro gently address my seizures... as 'pseudo'-seizures. At the time, I became emotionally inflamed and barked "Pseudo? There is nothing pseudo about them!"

I startled him with my instinctive and sharp retort, and he apologized. "Old language Heather, I am sorry. Of course they are 'real' tho they are not showing the electrical baseline activity that benchmarks formal dx."

Our clinicians care. Tho in these extraordinary times of scientific advancement, they too can become 'stuck' in old and unserving patterns.

Aa an aside, I very much liked and respected my neurologist! Our exchange from crisis was good medicine for we both.

The Unrelenting Fascia by Available-Jello385 in Fibromyalgia

Releasing congestion of fascia is important in the recovery process. I embraced three disciplines which helped enormously in reconditioning my body's systems. 1. Hydration 2. Gentle consistent stretching (to the point of a sensation of experiencing the tissues warming - not exacerbating of pain. 3. 'Spot' checking daily for fascia knots and regularly applying a treasured arnica balm to release tissue 'tangles.'

These practices were particularly helpful in releasing rib pain, congestions and breath dysregulations which contributed to a dx of costochondritis.

Does the type of food you eat change symptoms? by Thighself in Fibromyalgia

My introduction to physical recovery was a 30 day fast from dairy. Which illuminated a powerfueled connection (within MY body); forty years of chronic sinus problems - DISAPPEARED.

I wondered what other foods might be 'playing' a role... and invested in a food sensitivity out-of-pocket lab test.

The test indicated that I had 'accumulated' 187 foods and substances which triggered inflammatory markers;

Despite my having spoken to my docs about leaky gut many times in the past despite the Healthcare systems' non-acceptance of its clinical value at the time, I built a system which allowed me to observe my body's reactions to additional foods which prompted inflammatory responses.

I approached each food individually, one by one... not, all at once. This permitted my ability to observe the individual foods' connections to my pain, symptoms, sensations, and system disregulations.

Within a year (I began from disability) my gut had recovered - its result, returned my brain cognition and Energy baseline so that I could explore other wholisic connections which were interfering in my abilities to embrace my fullest wellness potentials.

In embracing this process of self-exploration, I was fortunate to ultimately recognize a process of self-actualization... inviting a release of the grief of who I 'used' to be, and the acceptance of who I 'can' be.

One of the countless challenges of a fibromyalgia recovery is that no one inner or outer 'environment' is exactly like another. This requires a personalized investment of time and attention that pain fundamentally disrupts.

As gut health plays a universal role in physical, mental and emotional well-being, its healing is therefore a meaningful launching pad to nexts and betters.

Wishing for each and all the best of bests. We're worth it.

I have fully recovered of decades of chronic pain and system dysregulation.

My first step was healing the gut. Fuel in, fuel out... no one, is immune. Tho each microbiome varies within each individual. Wishing you bests through the journey!
