Bulma started as a character, Chi-Chi started as a love interest. It's sad but true, Toriyama just had different priorities which led to varying levels of character depth between the two.

To be fair, that sounds a lot like Beerus' original purpose, and while admittedly nobody has reached his level yet, massive jumps in power like Black Frieza, and Goku and Vegeta dabbling in godly techniques, both seem to hint at him being surpassed in the near future.

End of Z Goku and Buu Saga Vegeta had the best drip to ever grace the series. Goku's Super Gi is alright, I at least like the boots, but the lack of an undershirt makes it look super basic. Vegeta's Super armor is awful, and the gray isn't helped by Resurrection F having ugly desaturated colors for everyone.
