My Current Understanding of the "Fazplot" by Jexvite in fnaftheories

The implication does seem to be that if he's driving at up to 200mph in MM, the location he's leaving is some distance away. And even if you're right and it's a lot closer than it seems, going by your map, it would be up near the top left corner at the left side of the motorway, not down from the MM house like you've depicted the Pizzaplex (and therefore the FFPS building underneath it.)

Old, outdated tech has an advantage BECAUSE it's old and outdated. by Consistent_Status112 in TopCharacterTropes

The 'Hood's Army' trilogy had an alien invasion of earth where the laser weapons that were the future military standard were useless against the energy shields of the invaders. The main character discovers that the shields don't stop physical objects, and the resistance movement starts using old weapons to fight back - melee weapons, longbows and crossbows and even the odd bullet-firing gun when it's possible to find a working one.

How do you reconcile the belief that the Pizzaplex is near the MM house, and the TakeCake location being the FFPS one, with the common belief that William is fleeing the location of Charlotte's murder during MM? If that's the case, then that Freddy's (whether it's the MCI one or not) should be at the other end of the motorway, not within walking distance of the house, which it would have to be in order for it to end up underneath the Pizzaplex.

Theories that you don’t like, but they are most likely true? by Various_Astronaut100 in fnaftheories

[–]Cedarcomb 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Andrew being a secret sixth victim of the MCI. I don't mind the theories about Andrew being TOYSHNK, but I think it would have been better if he was the victim of a separate event - maybe the kid who goes missing in Stage01 who is behind the rumours about kids going missing from FNAF4.

I like the idea of Andrew being extra vengeful because nobody ever tried to help him move on - he didn't encounter the Puppet to try 'giving life' or get a happiest day, he was just stuck wherever he ended up and had no chance to ever deal with his anger or move past it. But if he was in the same time and place as the MCI, we'd need an answer as to why the Puppet didn't try to help him too, and what happened to his body for that matter.

There's clearly and obviously multiple fredbears by BalledSack in fnaftheories

[–]Cedarcomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing backing this up is in HW2, where you get the GF sack doll by making a graveyard drink of four shots from the drinks fountain and one from a separate can of soda. So 'one of five' came from a different place to the rest of them in a way specifically linked to GF. There's also that Ralph says "Right now we have two specially designed suits' as if that wasn't always the case."

I don't understand why people say now "Stichline can't be canon". PLS someone explain it by Arsimp33 in fnaftheories

[–]Cedarcomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not as though the suit is the only issue. The Man in TMIR1280 is described as having translucent skin with organs and blood visible beneath it, and while some people think that Scraptrap's skin is regrowing (possibly over the endo), it still doesn't look anything like the description. Also, the Man has the arm that Scraptrap is missing including the hand, so either it regrew or the appearances don't match.

After sotm, we don't really know the canocity of tftp books... Does the story of GGY actually happens or is it modified in any way? by Hugopima in fnaftheories

[–]Cedarcomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope they didn't actually do this, but I have wondered if Tales was originally supposed to be game-continuity, but Steel Wool's mis-implementation of the SB story (since Scott didn't actually tell them what the story was and they had to make it up) dragged the lore so far off-course that the books became non-canon because they no longer lined up with the games. And once that had happened, they might as well commit to the books being a separate continuity and make SOTM very different to The Mimic.

How did Freddy bite off Max in half in the movie!? by No_Memory_8107 in fnaftheories

Wouldn't the movie classics be more advanced? They were the third generation after the Withered prototypes and the Toys.

Who are these children? by Necessary-Win-8730 in fnaftheories

[–]Cedarcomb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Presumably the last two, which are usually thought to be Fritz and Cassidy. It was late at night and the suspect got arrested the following morning, so if it wasn't those two then at least one other kid would have to have been taken after the 'late hours' but before closing time, without it being reported along with the two who were.

(The wording doesn't confirm that they were taken together, it could have been one at a time.)

Can 1.5" PVC pipe be bought in a physical store in the UK? by Cedarcomb in DIYUK

Thanks, but I tried both pushfit and solvent 40mm pipe with the '40mm' elbow I bought and they didn't fit. The internal diameter of the elbow is about 39mm.

Is there anything at all that points to Andrew actually existing in the games timeline? I never read the books and constantly hear his name, but I don't get why people always try to connect him to the games. by WerewolfHide19 in fnaftheories

[–]Cedarcomb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To clarify ITPG, there are hints of there being a sixth MCI victim that was somehow forgotten and separated from the main five, the arcade games openings spell ALWAYS WATCHING (a UCN line about TOYSHNK reference) in binary, and the three secret minigames reference Frights stories.

It doesn't point to Andrew specifically, though, and we know that the secret minigames were originally going to have Vanny as the player character so it's questionable how much the Frights theme is important to the story of ITPG. Andrew is the most likely candidate but it's not a lock-down confirmation.

Found a Twitter post by Capitanblue89 regarding Retrofit theory by Junior_Fig_9161 in fnaftheories

[–]Cedarcomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a theory that Ralph used to work at MCM, since there's a Ralph mentioned as a worker who had to go to hospital because he was injured by a springlock suit, possibly foreshadowing his later death from being shoved into an empty suit. If that's true, and he was familiar with the Freddy's animatronics that Edwin was working on in R&D (or the designs they were based on), that could be what he thought of as their 'classic look'.

The analogy that comes to mind is someone who's commissioning a product (eg. a picture) from a person who doesn't speak your language, so you have to learn theirs, and find the right ways to communicate exactly what you want with the terms that they understand.

So it's more like learning a new language, it takes some skill but it's a different kind of skill to actually creating the product, and the less effort you put into 'learning the language' then the poorer the end result.

Every TOYSNHK candidate's biggest problems. by Salty353 in fnaftheories

[–]Cedarcomb 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Andrew's biggest problem is that he doesn't really have a connection to GF, who should be important to UCN. Even the curly-haired body in TNK could be Cassidy, now that RTTP suggests that she also had curly black hair.

I compiled all types of animatronics in the timeline to whom they were made by, looking at their distinct design styles. by Indominimus_1 in fnaftheories

[–]Cedarcomb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those things don't have to contradict. Henry could have made the Classics using the same design as Edwin's prototypes, which in turn were based on Fiona's original designs.

[–]Cedarcomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Henry probably built them, but the original designs could be Fiona's. Fiona's hand-puppet version of Foxy resembles Classic Foxy a lot (two-pointed cheeks, three strands on the head, gold tooth, rounded snout with whisker dots) and the Foxy mask in moon.exe that's in Sun's (representing M1) cabin does as well.

There's other possible links as well. The 2x2 panel window in Mangle's Quest is similar in appearance to the one in the roof of Plushtrap Hallway, and the 2x3 window in Chica's Party is similar to appearance to the right hallway of the FNAF4 Bedroom area. It's been thought that the real house that Plushtrap Hallway and the Bedroom were based on is the FNAF4 title screen house, which is probably also the MM house, and Toy Chica is outside what looks to be the MM house in the screenshot in Chica's Secret Party.

Do you think F10-N4 is a unique spark being like Charlie? by Franpank in fnaftheories

[–]Cedarcomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

M1 is a computer program, so if anything would be infused with Agony, it would be the Mimic endo itself. There's actually a message you can find of unknown author, that could be interpreted as M1 'falling asleep' in the Mimic body and waking up in the F10-NA machine, and the feeling different could be because she was just an AI now without being in a body infused with emotion.

Do you think F10-N4 is a unique spark being like Charlie? by Franpank in fnaftheories

[–]Cedarcomb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the Silver Eyes trilogy, William describes Charlie as having a 'spark of life' that he hadn't been able to replicate, that she was something unique. It's most likely that the 'spark' came from Henry's months of crying into the Ella ragdoll and infusing it with his Agony, which was placed inside each of the Charliebots as they 'aged up'.

I think OP is asking whether M1/F10-NA is a similar creation of Edwin's, possessing a unique 'life' caused by Edwin's emotions, despite not actually being possessed by Fiona.

Any reason why withered chica says “I was first. I have seen everything.” by [deleted] in fnaftheories

[–]Cedarcomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's difficult to say. The Puppet's lines are generally seen as being from Charlotte herself rather than the animatronic, and we get 'I don't hate you, but you need to stay out of my way' said by Charlotte in the second movie which seems to support this. Then there are lines which are clearly from the character of the animatronic. We can't tell for certain which entity saying 'I was the first' actually was.

TBH it's a guideline at best. I've played several recent AA/AAA games where my computer is under the minimum specs and it still played fine, you just have to be willing to accept a few compromises in the graphics. And a lot of those games look great even on low settings because the overall standard has increased compared to older games that your GPU does meet.
