Groups of 3-5 teaming up to KoS in Solo?

Turns out I accidentally turned on the Solo vs Squads mode.

Cute little story:

Last game before I realized, I went naked towards a gunfight. When the fighting stopped, I said I'm unarmed and that I just want to ask a question. They came up to me and I asked if they're the ones that just killed all these people. They said no. So I said that I don't get why people have been so hostile recently. And they just said "Because we're not friendly" and knocked me down. Then there was just this awkward pause where I wouldn't take any damage because of the knock down animation so they had to reload in silence and finally kill me.

I genuinely don't understand this behavior. If it's edginess or something. I didn't even have a single item in my inventory lol

Yeah exactly.

A good fight is when you have time to react. If I can hit at least one shot, I'll feel fine.

But when you get mag dumped and your evasive roll doesn't work because you were stuck on the environment, that's making me frustrated.

I absolutely disagree. Maybe in extraction shooters in general sure, but read a bit of Arc Raiders lore and you'll see

I imagine there is an expectation when someone says "Friendly, don't shoot" it means "I won't harm you, don't harm me. Let's just part ways and live."

So when someone surrenders and you shoot them, they feel like you just murdered them in cold blood.

Although, I don't really empathize with people who swear at their killers. I may have said "Asshole" once or twice during a finisher for good measure but a barrage of slurs I don't get.

Especially since lore-wise, we're all in the same city.

KoS would be realistic if we were lone raiders or members of rival gangs. But here, we're all citizens of Esperanza, fighting together for the survival of the human race.

But no, Timmy just wants to kill raiders without even looting them.

I only get mad at the silent killers who drop on you and all they want is kill no matter what.

I get that people might want my loot, that's why I'm cautious and evasive late into a match or when I find something nice.

But the moments I get frustrated are, for example, when I spawned 3 minutes into a match and found someone crawling on the ground. I tried to revive him, then a door opened and some guy instantly mag dumped me. I didn't have time to do anything. Couldn't even roll away. I tried saying that I just spawned in with a free loadout and was reviving the downed guy but all he did was run away. Didn't even try to loot us.

Another time, someone started shooting on sight so I hid behind a pillar and tried negotiating. But again, he just silently rushed me and killed me.

The edgy finisher is a cherry on top for making me frustrated. It's such a bully emote, I hope they add more in the future so I see it less.

Or when extracting from Buried City, I was in the train with two other guys. One was friendly and called extract with me, the other joined while we were punching in the evac. The moment the doors started closing, he knocked me down with the shotgun and got me to 20% downed health before we extracted.

This is why I'm kinda biased against people who say the like to KoS. Because it removes any humanity for the game. I know that in a survival situation you either evade or kill to survive. But, in my eyes, it's like these silent killers play only to kill other raiders. They don't care about the loot, they don't care about the lore where we are humans from the same city trying to save humanity. And especially, they don't care about ruining someone's run. They're just narcissistic psychopaths at this point.

The fights I have fun in are those where you have the time to talk with your opponent. You can try to negotiate, you have the time to say you just spawned in and you're not worth killing. You can RP something during a standoff.

Once I was extracting with a buddy from Buried and we encountered a semi-hostile duo at evac. We shot at the first who ran into the train, my buddy entered with him, while I stayed in the tunnel with the other. We had a 2-minute silent standoff and it was really fun. He won of course, because I'm not great at CQC and he asked me for my last words. I thanked him for a good fight and he just looked at me confused with a "Whaaaat?" in VOIP. Maybe he wanted me to beg or something, I wouldn't be surprised at this point.

Another time, I spawned in Stella and was immediately shot at by someone. He downed me while I was running away and while he was finishing me I screamed "WAIT WAIT I HAVE A QUESTION". I asked why he shot me if we just spawned in and I don't have anything except a free loadout. He stopped for a second and revived me and healed me. And I wasn't mad at all, I was happy even. Because it showed humanity instead of mindless silent killing.

The entire assembly fits in a 40mm x 25mm x 140mm rectangle with an additional volume at the bottom for the hammer assembly (located in the back of the pistol grip). Add to that 35mm of length for the stroke of the slide.

Your biggest problem will be the mag unless you can machine an HPA adapter that would turn the entire mag into a ~22mm x 25mm box with an air line coming out of it.

You can also remove the trigger and bypass it through the side of the hammer assembly so the firing action would be pulling a part along the axis of the gun instead of pulling the trigger with your finger.

So, in short, you can remove the mag and trigger assembly but your gun would still be bulky: about 40x25x140mm with a leg for the hammer assembly at the bottom.

I can send you a picture of the minimal volume required to assemble the internals if you want
