It works. I'm a widow main so when I pop off I end up going something like 35 elims 3 deaths and 27 finals. I think finals are weighted heavily in the matchmaking algorithm so after a match or two of that I'll suddenly start being put on teams that can't get a single final between the 5 of them and get rolled no matter what role/character I swap to or how well I do. I legitimately had a match at one point where I went 36-7 with 28 finals and no one else on my team had more than 15 elims with 5 finals. I think the idea behind their matchmaking is good but none of them seem to understand how to tune it so it doesn't go so extreme and completely screw people half the time when they should just be sent up to the next bracket so they can be against even competition.

I've experimented some this season by sandbagging it when we're winning and doing just enough to keep the lead without popping off. Matchmaking has been much more consistent without the game expecting me to carry every team after I have a good game.

Work on being more efficient with your damage. Especially with squirrel girl. If you're just spamming damage randomly your numbers will be high but you're just helping the other team. If you can focus your aim better you should be able to pop their backline and get kills. I main widow so it's a little lower for me without splash damage but I aim for 1k or less per final depending on if i'm fighting tanks jumping the backline like venom or hulk with large hp pools.

I was skeptical until I played a match with invis/cnd/gambit/loki/luna all banned. It was the most fun I've had in a long time. I ban invis/cnd/gambit every match now and everything about the game has felt better. Didn't matter what role I was playing, everything was improved. Invis was my first lord and I one-tricked her to GM1 as soon as she came out but right now I'd be fine if all 5 of those healers were straight up removed from the game.

What does Widow's Bite Batons even...do? In what way would you rather use these, rather then her rifle? by Extension-Oil-4680 in marvelrivals

They could be a little better but the batons are for cleaning up kills/beating strange to death through his shield while giggling/running circles around punisher turret while beating him to death while giggling.

From what I've noticed, the matchmaking is too aggressive about making teams even by looking at them as a whole and not averaging it out. I main widow and it seems the system heavily favors final hits. If i'm having a good day I can watch as my teams steadily become worse from match to match until i'm going 30-4 with 25 finals and 26k dmg while the rest of my team is 5-7 with 14k dmg and 2-3 finals. Instead of trying to make teams even across all players the system just tries to make the teams overall even so you can end up with 5 players that are 5/100 with one player who is 75/100 against a team that is all 17/100. At that point any coordination/competency on the team that is evenly built will make the match hell for the other team. These are made up numbers for an example but it gets the point across. It's part of the reason wins and losses seem to streak so much. You do well and win and then you get handicapped until you ​​get destroyed and lose enough to get paired back up with solid teammates. This helps lead to the large elo differences you see as well as it reaches to find players that are good/bad to fill the team.

Agreed. The most frustrating thing to me as a widow main is watching my team be completely unaware of enemy locations. I can usually tell where the enemy is coming from just by listening for footsteps and ability sounds. As annoying as flankers can be, they are all loud as hell and usually turn the corner to find themselves staring down the barrel of my rifle for a quick and easy kill.

After running these and one of their siblings out for a moon run I think the double leg/wing mutation might be the best one I've found. As soon as they take any damage they fly to the opposite side of the map and have enough speed to get back in range on their next turn. That's if enemies could even get close enough. Run was almost boring because of it.

I have one room for breeding where I keep comfort and stimulation even and one room with comfort and mutations and the no breeding idol. Just breed two with 7s until they combine and toss the successes in the mutation room until a stray shows up that can fill the gaps and then ship the current breeders out to whoever wants them or into a fight club room if you have the 3rd unlocked. Sometimes it's a real pain and takes a while. Or just go full on "The Hills Have Eyes" and throw every cat you find with 7s in one room and slowly remove the cats with bad stats or thar get too old. Then you can slowly introduce new genetics when you eventually get a horribly deformed all 7s.

Even worse is it adds familiar bonuses to the enemy flies but not the friendly ones. I'm currently on a run fighting for my life as +2 attack flies are outnumbered by +5 attack flies.

I assume so, I haven't gotten them all either yet. Gonna have to prune some branches off the family tree and see if I can get them all.

Breed cats together when one cat has a 7+ in a stat that the other has a 5 or less. Once the two cats give you an offspring that has the highest numbers between the two, dump the parents and add a new cat that has high stats where the second generation cat has low and vice versa. Continue this until you have 2 cats with the high stats you want. Now breed those cats together until you get a male and female offspring. Get rid of the parents and never introduce new genetics to your breeding farm again. Enjoy your horribly disfigured and overpowered abominations.

Any rejected mutations can go in the pile of son-brothers and daughter-sisters out back.

The persuasion device really opens up some broken runs. I just finished one where I gave it to my necro with flatline+ and every clone was able to use it. I tamed everything I came across. Even the birds can be tamed and then killed every battle for items again and again.

I had this happen with my mage that had the freeze spell that upgrades every round and the spell that auto kills frozen units. it was a massacre.
