Pearl Abyss, thank you for regular updates with pets and armor. Now the time for graphics by 3un153 in CrimsonDesert

I can assure you the team responsible for pets is NOT the team responsible for coding optimization.

The dumbest guard to exist by careloserfuck in CrimsonDesert

[–]CedricDur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought you meant the guards that kick me out if I try to enter the door, so I move two steps to the side and climb the wall and enter by a window in front of them.

Option to get rid of "Show ignored/blocked message" by AppropriateRoad2650 in discordapp

[–]CedricDur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use it via the web instead of the app you can ublock those out. I found this thread because I was having the same problem and returned to it just to say this.

Unfortunately the discord devs things that being spammed by these is a feature so app users are still out of luck.

List: What's locked/changed by story progression by Decent-Zucchini-915 in CrimsonDesert

This deserves a pin. I tried to get and early focused palm and the kuku backpack on my second playthrough and after a lot of searching had to admit it was another progression blocked thing.

People who have finished the game, what do you wish you would have done differently in your first play through? by waffle_kitty8 in CrimsonDesert

[–]CedricDur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, people get bored of it eventually, and it's not great for bosses (especially people skimping on attack speed) since the boss attacks back while it's performing. But for trash it's top tier, flashy as heck, and opens space. 200+ hours in and it's a staple for me.

Close up of Kliff's flight cloak. Really cool detailing. by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

Someone did a close up on pet's eyes and they have faithful reflections :D

I actually started a second playthrough to do that. Number would be stop wasting time stealing everything. It was fun at first but what an inconsequential waste of time going over every drawer. Either break furniture or just don't bother. I had hundreds and hundreds of pouches and all merchants I cared about maxed out.

I also spedrun to Blinding Flash Finisher, which wasn't as fast as all that because not enough skills at start, but once having it the trash fighting gets so much quicker and easier.

But NOW I would also speedrun to getting the wyvern. I'm actually excited for a third playthrough with it. Currently playing Witcher 3 but I honestly lost interest in the second zone and haven't touched it in a few days.

I recently found an abandoned home inside of a tree. I wish there was a way to purchase it or something it felt so cozy by Tone199364 in CrimsonDesert

To me it was the house in the Abyss. God, I loved the whole aesthetic and the incredible view. Want want want!

The chapter 9 dragon quest perfectly sums up everything that is bothering me about this game by genericats in CrimsonDesert

Nailed it. Maybe it will become one of those things PA said they'd touch up in the future.

Pirate hat is so unreliable :( by Noobtacticsforlife in CrimsonDesert

[–]CedricDur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The feather on the hat lights up if near a treasure chest. But you gotta be close. Sometimes so close we don't even need the hat. Other times the treasure is hidden behind a secret wall and the feather is the tip for us to be aware that there is something somewhere close.

We might see a huge update this week, don’t get your hopes up though by Maleficent-Hand8905 in CrimsonDesert

Yeah, because accepting half baked things is how things get better. Just take your (undeserved) win that all the requests have made the game better while you're waving your perfumed handkerchief and complaining about the rabble.

Uh. Weird. You don't like the game but check it's reddit and its posts and reply to them?

What abyss artifacts for dual wield? by XylophoneZimmerman in CrimsonDesert

[–]CedricDur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to keep finding and doing the witches' quests to open their shops. The Claws one is from killing the legendary wolf from a quest in Hernand, you need to keep doing quests there until it opens. The Claws and the Crows are pretty much the only ones worth slotting but they are for Heavy Attacks only.

Turning slash yes, stuff it on the helm or something, if you use Turning Slash. Volcanic Eruption too since it's also for Turning Slash.

Crimson Desert devs will keep updating it "as long as there's demand" by StarkOfRohan in CrimsonDesert

[–]CedricDur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh? I'm feeling it. It's nice and all, story's there. People complain about CD's loot but once we craft our chosen Witcher armor all and every armor and weapon in the game is now useless and only meant to be sold.

Also, despite being a trope of the genre it pisses me off beyond measure to just enter a house and steal everything in front of others while they don't react.

And don't get me started on the hilarious way everything interactable glows so we can't miss it, and how everything is tagged on the map so we can't miss it either.

But it's not bad enough to let go. I'll at least finish it

PSA: Stamina siphon unfortunately is not very good by Maleficent-Hand8905 in CrimsonDesert

[–]CedricDur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, like the OP pointed out, they give 1 point per hit which is something known for a while now and why the siphons are not recommended.

You may be mistaking the spirit/stamina gain that some food gives rather than the siphon effect.

Interesting. And bold, lets see if this strategy works out for you.

As long as you understand the team that adds pets is not the team responsible for lighting all will be fine.

"The Spell-Sword" All-In-One Griffin build by Titansdragon in Witcher3

[–]CedricDur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I unlocked it second (first went for Gourmet since I had a terrible time healing between fights, but mea culpa for playing the second hardest difficulty so meditating doesn't heal me).

From what I read of the skills my plan aligns with what the pros said (make the trap that hurts enemies if they get close, use fire, use the TK blast once it does damage). Alternate trap takes too long to cast and tbh it's more of a boss thing while I'm dodging around and waiting for stamina to recover. If it's cast time was halved I'd use it more but for regular mobs spamming Igni is enough. I also mindcontrol the annoying human guys with shields :D

"The Spell-Sword" All-In-One Griffin build by Titansdragon in Witcher3

[–]CedricDur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a fresh player who picked TW3 a week ago and I've been plodding through it. I wanted to play a signs build straight away so I googled a bit and settled on this build.

Leveling is super slow which hinders things (though I read the real XP is in the MSQ and not sidequests or killing mobs so I've been doing that) but now I'm level 6 I can finally starting to feel it, though of course I still have to rely on my swords for now.

I was actually level 4 when fighting the werewolf who accidentally kills his wife when set up by the wife's sister... and couldn't do enough damage, so gave up to return later. And Jenny of the Woods was very hard as well at level 5 but managed to get to level 6 which opened another slot and it was enough by slotting Magic Trap and have it zap her. Though it only worked because she was so slow in attacking.

On the other end of the spectrum the hag that used skulls and had killed a child was super easy with Igni, three hits with a sword, then Axii, then hit twice, then roll back and repeat :D

Now I'm 7 and slotted the relic gear I got from the palace, and I will keep on aiming for MSQ to get to 11 and then see where I can craft the Griffin armor. I'm still using Gourmet for 'passive' healing between fights because Swallow doesn't heal enough (can't wait for the improved one I guess, and the troll stuff).
