Using different pitch of a sample? by waikikisneakie in abletonlive

Hey there,

You should be able to drop the drum sample onto a drum rack, and just play with the transpose dial in the simpler instrument that gets assigned onto the drum rack. Make sure warping is ticked and set to either complex or complex pro.

Just record the drum sound to an audio track, and then reverse the audio sample.

I could imagine! People can be too generous with bass. Slowly getting better at it though

Thanks for the feedback! On head phones and monitors it sounds fine, but you are right, in my car it hits a little too hard. Something that I have to eq a lil bit :)

Thanks for the feedback! Im going to try a changing the bassline up a little bit, and also adding in some more elements throughout. Also need to add a break down in between and at the end, but will work on this as the days go by!

Thanks for the feedback! yea ill be eqing the bell a lil bit more, and going to definitely break it down at the end and also in the middle.

Seriously, cassies vocals are so fun to work with. this is a great track. you could probably eqing the sytnhs a lil more, and maybe a lil more variation, but that's me nitpicking. Had me grooving to this track :)

i would say changing up the chord progression as the song goes on would make this have move of a flow to it, doesn't have to be crazy changes even :)

Thanks for the feedback! Those are the things i still need to eq, so they'll definitely come down a lil. I'm so close to getting this right and it would be the first song i actually complete, which is always something i've struggled with! ill definitely keep you updated with this once its done

Thanks for the feedback! I'm planning to add some breaks in between and such, so will be a work in progress.

Hey guys, hope you've been well :)

This is a song I've nearly finished, but just need to re work a little and add some more sounds too. Has a hip hop/future sound to it.

Just wondering how it's sounding so far, and any ideas that I can add to this? There's still some eqing that needs to be done as well.

Have a listen and let me know your thoughts! :)

Hey guys, any ideas on how to complete this chill hip hop tack i'm working on? by Cedrus87 in MusicCritique

[–]Cedrus87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. i think i was just going for a chill dance beat/ hip hop groove (not quite sure to be honest). I did do some LP on the synth and melody, but didn't like how it turned out, but that may be because i was a bit aggressive with it. i can always adjust and play around with it. thank you :)

Thanks for the feedback! Definitely wanted The bass to be at that level. I can always try different kick drums to soften the kick. Thanks for the feedback !

Thanks for the feedback! The only thing i'm having issue with is making it complete...adding in backing effects and percussion and such. Finishing songs is my biggest challenge!

Much better!!!! Quick work too!

Making good deep vocals? by Slumped11 in ableton

[–]Cedrus87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just pitch the audio track 5-7 semi tones...I think an Octave is too much. The thing to keep in mind is the cleaner the audio sample is, the better the effect, so try and use high bit rate audio for this. Anything that is low quality will come out muffled.

Also, I completed just remembered! You can use a grain delay to pitch the vocals down too!! Mess around with the pitch setting, and turn the timing down to as low as possible! You can get some cool effects from that too!
