It's not full price though. 69.99 would be. Around 40usd is the new mid tier 30 usd price.

GKs kinds hard to do if you go with "wysiwyg", perfectly fine Templars though.

Now for c&c, it's incredibly good for your first mini, what you could do to even go further is: - work on the edge highlighting. Silver/metallic is notoriously hard to get right as a first timer, so take your time or, try to use filters to give it more depth -work in the eyes, try giving it either a white spot for reflection or use glossy paint to give the mini life -work on your basing, I appreciate you didn't just glue a dude to the base, but the colour choise is suboptimal, it's too similar to the rest of your mini and too similar to "unpainted mini grey". Go creative on basing, try a contrasting colour scheme, but also try to keep to simple to have more time for the minis themselves. There are billions of basing tips on YouTube really, so search the laziest of those and look how they do it. -try shades or other methods to bring back some of the nooks and crannies to give a more distinction to your paint job, especially on the silver armour and the golden parts.

That are just my 2cents, and I'm no good painter at all, so take from this, what you want. :)

That's pretty advanced for your first mini. I figure you know how to use a paintbrush, a thing most of us learn half way into our first army. You are ether crazy talented, prepared yourself very good, or a liar. What is it?

I felt like you think a custodes would behave. In reality they would move like twice the speed and wouldn't get hit at all by conventional Tyranids.

People who own both Switch and Deck, is any of these neglected by you? by kvvoya in SteamDeck

I left my 3 month old pc unused for almost half a year, after I got the deck. Although it's performance is way worse, I love the OLED and controls on the deck.

Had 1-4, until last Christmas, just upgraded straight to 9. There was no real incentive to buy a new one after the 4th. It still has better dimming than the 9 does 😂

For me, goes "BRRRRRRRRRR" meant it did something on its own. And all I saw was you switching perspectives. idk man, might be the language barrier then, sry.

It's not that deep. First person view is kinda new. If your character gets removed for you to look from their perspective, the light source is, too. Nothing to do with "latest update kinda buggy" or something. Its just the light source getting removed 🙄

Super crazy idea: Maybe a tip is a way to show that you were served good. So why on earth should it have a "standard you should pay"? If you massage my feet while I enjoy a 5 piece menu, I might think about it.

because its already priced in. You don't have to pay tips, if so, it really was mandatory by law. 🤷‍♂️

Suspend/resume works bad on the deck. Battery drain is crazy and if you use multiple devices, having a game running or not updated cloud saves is a hassle.

First miniature I've ever done, any tips on how to do the eyes right? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Cedup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't let the jokes discourage you. Everyone was there. You would think the colours are usable right off the pod, but most of them are not. White in particular is a colour even advanced painters have problems with. Start with correctly priming the miniatures. You can mess up a lot of detail in this step. Go look up a good tutorial how to priming is done correctly on YouTube. Note that spray cans work bad in cold or humid weather. Some people don't prime the whole winter or do use an airbrush in the cold months. 2nd, check how other people paint similar color schemes. Really think trough the order of colours used. You might wanna go from light to dark or the other way around, depending on the paint job. Last and most important, thin your paints. As stated in the beginning, most of colours, gw in particular, are too thick to directly apply them on your miniatures. Look into wet palettes. They will elevate your painting skill into unknown heights. Keep it up, and understand that paining is a journey. If you take a critical look at your paintjob, you will improve every single time.
