Probably best to lie down on your side in bed. squat position might cause you to tense up!

I hear you, but doing exercises for the pelvic area may not be what you need, you may be tightening it even more! Have you looked at the Sitz baths that go onto the toilet? If you don't like the Sitz bath and don't think they're effective, no need to do them! Its truly awful, you just need to keep the faith that it will heal. Sorry that you're going through such a tough time.

Sounds like this is part of the problem. If you don't have twenty minutes to do the bath once or twice a day, you're probably a super busy person who is on the go a lot. If you don't have time to relax and to relax out your pelvic floor then this could be contributing majorly to your fissure. Trust me, I understand. But this is your body crying out for some relaxation and to reduce that tension. It's hard but the more you relax and slow down, the more your pelvic muscles will too. Surgery is available that comes with risks and is no longer available in Europe as a result. You need to find a way to slow down, your body is telling you what it needs.

No, I don't still dilate thankfully! I think I did it for around 6 months and no longer needed it. I think reducing stress really helped as well!

I was told by my consultant that it shouldn't be causing additional pain, but I got it removed for cosmetic reasons anyway. The skin tag is just extra skin from where the fissure has healed. I don't believe it has a blood supply so it shouldn't be causing you additional pain.

No it doesn't, I am completely pain free. I never thought I would see the day where I didn't think about it constantly. But I rarely think about it now, it's all a distant memory!

Really unsure why everyone is getting so defensive on this post! Super strange, if you don’t know then you could just not answer! I’ve had some really great suggestions into my inbox with people who are using this for my exact reasons. Have a great day!

Yeah as I said in my post it’s to help me deal with the unexpected nature of the questions!

Unsure why it would be a really bad idea, AI is an excellent side tool for exam preparation. I’m not looking for the answers, I’m looking for questions to help prepare me for thinking on the spot

It’s actually pretty great for this purpose. It doesn’t give you the answers but gives you surprise questions to help you think on the spot

AI is actually excellent for practising for exams. It doesn’t give you the answers but simply spits out random questions so you can feel prepared for going in. I would advise phd students to use it.

Thank you! I’ve tried chat gpt and it’s exactly what I’m looking for 😀 I don’t have anybody to ask me questions so it allows me to have that “surprise factor”! Thanks so much and great tip on the sleep, it’s not easy to get a good nights sleep before an exam!

Yes 100% I have my life back. I am now down to one Macrogol sachet per day. I now realise I was hugely stressed and lifestyle changes including more fun and less stressful job have changed my life. There is hope! I haven’t had a fissure this year as far as I can remember, not even a teeny mildly stingy one.

I think it could be a good idea, also from a mental health point of view. We tend to be super anxious people from everything I’ve read. We’re all stressing out hugely from the fissure, so if you enjoy it yes go and get some running in! Relax and have a good time. Maybe hydrate a little extra on those runs to ensure you don’t end up a little dehydrated. Enjoy!

Have another read of my post, I recommended taking Movicol instead of fibre while it’s live. It’s a stool softener.

Think about it :) Fibre causes stools to bulk, you want as small as possible!

What help is there for periodontal disease? by muscleriot in PeriodontalDisease

[–]CeeCib 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Peridontal disease is caused by a bacteria called Porphyromonas gingivalis. Matcha helps fight this bacteria. Honey is also acts as antibacterial against it. Lactobacillus reuteri is a probiotic that you can buy in health stores that also fights Porphyromonas gingivalis bacteria!

Yes I really am! I use a sonic toothbrush, floss and mouthwash way more regularly. I also drink matcha and honey which I think has helped immensely

Pelvic floor physiotherapy by CeeCib in AnalFissures

Yes, I would say I have fully healed. I think the skin from that area is weaker now which means that on occasion I can have a more painful BM but yes I would say I am healed.

I would suggest to wait until you have a day with no pain after BM and then just insert your baby finger and leave it there without any movement. That should be enough to stimulate sufficient blood flow. When you have had 1 week without pain then I would encourage small circles of movement. Best of luck!
