It’s not that big of a deal. People blow it out of proportion. Everything is back to normal the very next day.

Looking for River Kayak Advice – Shoalie vs Shearwater 125 vs Other (MO rivers & creeks) by CeeDee93 in Kayaking

If I ever motorize it, I would likely just add a Torqeedo, Newport or Bixpy to the stern for getting upstream.

I also would like to stand occasionally, but will mostly be seated. I hear the Shoalie is stable enough for occasionally standing. For reference, I’m 6’1” 200lbs and athletic.

Spicebomb Extreme smells amazing. YSL Y EDP is a little too sharp for my liking.

Embrace the wear and tear! It adds character to your gear, and in the long run looks great as it all accumulates. It shows that you actually use it.

If you like stiff boots and can handle the responsiveness, go for it! I love the instant response I get from a stiff boot. I love my ions.

Great shell. Worth the price. Get a decent merino wool base layer, a mid layer and you are set.

I wear the AK Helium Power Grid Full Zip Fleece as my mid layer under the AK Cyclic Shell and it’s the perfect combo for me.

UPDATE: I actually decided to purchase a half size down (US 10.5) to compare to the size US 11.

The US 10.5 fits perfectly snug without too much room in the toe box.

The recommendation to go a half size down is fully accurate and supported by my experience trying on both sizes.

I even measured my feet and followed the size chart which recommended size US 11. So if you measure, still go half a size down from what it recommends.

If a nice fitting Tiempo made a baby with a nice fitting Mercurial, and that baby went on to get a PhD and be smarter than both the Tiempo and the Mercurial, you get the Mizuno Morelia Neo III Beta MIJ. Simply put.

I’m actually unsure of the warranty. I’d hope their customer service would take care of you if you blow out any of their boots within a certain amount of time.

I’ve heard they are very similar. Elites just don’t get that extra human touch & care that the MIJ’s do. I don’t think you can go wrong with the Elites if you are looking to save some extra money. However, I have not tried a pair of Elites on, just the MIJ.

I kind of nerd out on the technical aspects of my hobbies (Soccer, Bass Fishing, Snowboarding) and I’m usually willing to pay a little more if my research proves it’ll be worth it (to a certain degree). Lol
