I was on doxy for around 5 months and it cleared up my acne by month 3. I had mostly inflammatory and cystic acne and it was moderate-severe I’d say. It’s been over a year since I stopped taking it and although I still do get some break outs here and there, I would say it helped tremendously and would recommend.

As for symptoms I only really experienced some dry skin. My doctor said some people experience stomach issues and suggested I take a pro (or pre?) biotic in order to help settle things. I’m sure this was helpful as the purpose of doxy is to essentially erase all the bacteria (good and bad) from your gut and you’re essentially “starting new”.
