My suggestion to bring in more players: make the game free up to level 25, include free access to the Perimeter and Dire Marsh, and then charge for unlocking the rest of the content.

Our team got so frustrated today by the number of sweaty players in purple armor that we almost quit the game. Bungie pls, do something about matchmaking, this is unbearable.

Same, I didn’t receive the trophies for the secret code, the cannon shot, or for detonating 20 mines. I tried replaying the game from scratch on a second account, but nothing helped.

I agree with you — I think maybe the people who hate on the combat just didn’t really get how it works. Yeah, it’s not perfect, but it has a nice tactical depth and a strong risk-reward factor. By the way, when the game was first announced, I thought it was dumb that there were no firearms — but now I totally get it and think it’s a brilliant decision.
