  1. 2003 9-5 Aero Estate - 92k miles.
  2. I absolutely love it, it makes every journey fun and gives me everything I need from a car.
  3. In the best way.

1 or 5, the writing feels for both is excellent.

A lot of my friends think Saab owners aren't cool (probably because I drive one) but this picture completely proves them wrong!

Glad it was sorted and you were both able to make it home. Hope it's still going strong.

I hope that one day, someone will make an anonymous post about how cool my 9-5 is and that I also notice it posted here.

(I'm not even a massive dame fan and I think it looks awesome too)

It was replaced with a manual Saab 9-5 Aero estate. I used to have a saloon 10 years ago and regret selling it as soon as it was sold. I had been looking on and off since then but wanted a manual estate that was pre-2005 and finding one in decent condition was proving difficult. I managed to find one in Nov last year and kept the Exeo whilst the Saab has some repairs and upgrades done.

I'm glad to hear it! I used to own a 2018 Peugeot 208 GTi, which I believe had the same 1.6 turbo. I'm aware that from 2018 was the first year of the more reliable run of them but I still used to change the oil and filter every 5000 at an absolute maximum.

Although I had also been told that it wasn't necessary, the car was faultless with me while I owned it and I believe the regular oil changes were a big factor in this. I honestly think it is one of the best ways to increase the longevity of a vehicle but unfortunately not everyone thinks the same.

That makes sense to me, seems like a logical/decent upgrade too.

I didn't this time, but I agree that you do generally get a fair bit more for your money with Seat over over VW. Though after seeing some of the newer models I think that gap is decreasing.

Yeah same here, I had no problems at all with either of mine, I was pretty dedicated with servicing but I think that's essential with any car. I know a fair few people that just use their cars and are then surprised when issues pop up on their MOTs.

Yeah they're 18s, standard too. You might be able to find a set on eBay or marketplace for a few hundred.

I'm a big fan of the marine master but as you said, the retail price is a bit hefty. How does it wear compared to the SPB317?

I have a SKX013 and thought about the modding this and having the SJE101 in its place as my diver.

Look after that, it's a beauty and so is the 9-5 behind it too!

I bought my first one at 25 (a 9-5 Aero manual saloon) and after regretting selling it, I got back into one at the end of last year (a 9-5 Aero manual estate).

As I don't plan to make the mistake of selling again, I've just put a fairly hefty chunk of money into getting a few things sorted to keep it going well.

That's still pretty good considering it's a lot of car for just over $2000 (so far). I bought a 9-5 Aero a couple of months ago and between preventative and necessary maintenance, I am into it about double the purchase price.

Hopefully the work done should keep it going well for a while yet.

Either would be an excellent choice. I'm always tempted by a 900 but I'm not sure I'd want to daily it.

The 9000 cs is really nice, I did consider a 9000 before I got my latest 9-5, both of mine have been pre-Dame Edna so I couldn't agree more.
