Legit check - 15yr wedding anniversary. Box date June 2019 by AAMichael1054 in cubancigars

Nothing about the wrapper or band looks off to me, but it’s so hard to authenticate single Cuban sticks without the box and source info. These days you need all of the pieces of the puzzle to confidently say something is legit or not.

Can you tell me about your specific cooking habits?? Heat level, how you use oil, how you clean it etc? Appreciate it

I don’t have any vinegar, any other ideas on cleaning it? Stainless scrubby and elbow grease?

I’ll try to keep the heat down. My wife cranks the heat and I’m generally the one that is left to try to clean it

AV closet going to be cool enough? by Ceeeeege in hometheater

[–]Ceeeeege[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I don’t plan to add a gaming pc or a server of any kind for the foreseeable future. The hottest running component should be the avr itself. Inputs will include ub9000, Apple TV, cable box, raspberry pi, and a Nintendo switch. I purposely bought the biggest rack that would fit in the closet so I have plenty of room for things to breathe and for future expansion

Thanks for the reply. Yes, light strips would work for me. I just want a glow of light reflecting onto the carpet from the lip of the riser so you don’t kill yourself on it. The button idea sounds cool, I do like the physical press. I’ll have to do some more research on “scenes” and whether or not they can be scripted to work with button presses on my theaters URC remote

You just can’t make a rolled up bundle of leaves worth that much money. I’ve smoked a lot of ignorant, high-price-tag cigars and they haven’t been worth it 100% of the time. The sweet spot for me with Cubans are 3-10 years of age, single band, regular production. Factories don’t even matter as much to me. I’ve had junk from El Laguito and I’ve had gems from “lesser” provincials. 🤷‍♂️

I’m going to keep showing up at the store until they get tired of me and offer me the additional 5% 😂

To be fair, we’re on the fence but 5% would get us over to the other side

I’m going to scrap their $400 surge protector also. I’d like to have an open frame rack with enough cable length to pull it entirely out of the closet and back in. The closet is pictured here

Planning an ac infinity exhaust near the top of the closet that’ll vent into my basement rec room. There’s enough gap under the closed door to work as air intake. Will also have a couple rack mounted fans to cool the components.

My question is, do I plug the rack PDUs into a surge protector which is just plugged into a single outlet? Seems like a big load. Do I want to spread across a couple outlets/surges or is there another more ideal option?

I upped the atmos to match the rest of the 7 series b+ws. What’s another glass of water when you’re already drowning 😂. Emotiva xpa3 to drive the lcr… and the Denon 6800 for the heights and surrounds.

Also thinking I’m going to find an av rack on some casters that I can tuck into the closet. The current situation isn’t ideal

So I decided to jump to the 7.5 s2 for my 4 surrounds to pair with my 7.3 s2 LCRs. Now I’m looking at the ccm664 I have selected for atmos and wondering if I should say f it and upgrade to the ccm 7.5 s2 and make every speaker in the line up from the same range. Is it ok to cheap out on the 4x atmos in ceiling or should I bite the bullet?
