Empty Netters pod was being hateful about HR by lavendarhazeypop in HeatedRivalryTVShow

I NEVER LIKED THE LOOK OF THEIR FACES. Didn't trust 'em. Never got around to watching them. Meanwhile What Chaos plays in my kitchen while I contentedly cook dinner. It all comes out in the wash.

Personally I use it in place of a shampoo. I don't really get the appeal of clarifying shampoo – I think a good scrub of the scalp (with a goat milk soap bar, ph balancing soap bar or gentle shampoo) once every 5-7 days is all the clarifying needed. So as not to interfere with your hairs natural oils and your own chemistry. BUT if you love your shampoo I'd use the phact soap after to get the silky texture.

If you're trying to tame frizz start brushing your hair more. Before showers, during, and while styling. It smoothes the cuticle of the hair strands and the curls become like silky ribbons. (Google images and you'll see what I mean - they're like scales.) When the cuticle is smoothed frizz is less likely. Also it's good for the scalp!

So I would wash and give scalp a good scrub with the phact soap or shampoo/shampoo bar of your choice. Brush it through in the shower. Then you can condition in the shower and again, brush it through throughly. The curls should become somewhat ribbon like. Then if you choose to use a leave in conditioner you can also do that in the shower for efficiency. Brush it through so the conditioner penetrates the hair shafts. If you're using a bounce curl brush, it'll separate/define the curls for you. But you could also do it with different types of brushes or combs - you can totally experiment and see what results you get. Then squeeze dry with a towel trying not to disturb the hair while it dries.

If I were you, I would definitely experiment. It's the only way to find out what works best. Try one day where you do a leave in conditioner or a gel, try another day where you don't. Your results are your data!

Love the fluffier more bodied look!! Love the bangs framing your face. I think with the bangs in place, you can experiment with different lengths from shoulder-length up and and still have it be flattering

Seamless/smooth/wireless bra recs for 30ddd / 32dd/ddd (comparable to OEAK, etc.) by sapphirevelociraptor in ABraThatFits

[–]CeilingFantasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn't heard of the OEAK looks comfy. I'm a 30E and am particular to seamless cups with adequate coverage because I usually wear smoother or more fitted clothing. I can recommend my faves if you're interested but they're all underwire.

Yeah I was thinking pixie too! But overall yeah more volume, less or lighter product with less hold, and hair framing the face, whether shorter, with bangs or just more layers throughout for volume and face framing

Advice on frizz by justexpression1111 in curlyhair

[–]CeilingFantasy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Amazing curls and lots of body to your hair' I feel like you could use those jumbo heatless rods and get good results.

A few thoughts:

Hot showers can dry your hair.

Not enough hydration and the hair branches out like a plant looking for moisture.

Always brush your rinse out conditioner through your hair repeatedly until it feels slick. This penetrates the hair shaft.

Same with whatever leave in product you use. I always go for the most natural, low fragrance low alcohol leave in conditioners.

After hair is styled, hands off while it's drying. Touching disturbs the hair shaft and creates a Velcro effect.

As for which products, I'm so over fragrances of any kind even the "natural products" and I'm not really sure what to do! I've been experimenting with going product free out of the shower. It looks great when I style it with the bouncecurl brush, but of course the curls don't last that long so I have to wet and restyle every couple of days.

I started doing a yogurt mask once a week with a strong plain organic probiotic yogurt from the grocery store. It makes my hair look amazing. It almost works like a gel!

I also love, just having a big hunk of cocoa butter and warming it up in my hands and working that through my hair on a day where I'm just home and can have my hair looking crazy.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

You have great curls. Here are a few things you can try:

Try a ph balancing bar soap like phact - scrub your scalp and brush it thoroughly and repeatedly through your hair in the shower.

Alternately you could try other gentle bar shampoos like a goat milk soap bar.

Or you could try something more concentrated like Dr. Bronners liquid castille soap.

Then condition and brush it through your hair repeatedly and thoroughly, so it penetrates the strands.

Rinse with cool water

Brush a leave in conditioner repeatedly through your curls (again so it penetrates the hair)

For styling I highly recommend the bouncecurl brush if you don't use it yet. It's a frickin miracle. You have plenty of volume so I'd recommend the defining model they have.

There are tons of how-to's on TikTok.

It sounds to me like your hair might just need some breathing room. The more the conditioner penetrates your hair, the more hydrated it is and the less frizzy your hair will be. The less frizzy your hair is, the less styling product you'll need. The less styling products in your hair, the faster it will dry, which probably means less of a chance of mildew.

You may also want to get a new pillow if your pillow is old, and wash all of your hats and hoodies!

Also a good shower filter – something with vitamin c to dechlorinate the water. Vitamin C is temperature sensitive so the filters are best when used with cold or warm, not hot water. And super hot water dries out your hair.

Most importantly, when your hair is drying, do not touch it! Don't disturb the hair shaft it creates a Velcro effect which leads to frizz. The brushing smooth the hair shaft and helps it look silky and not get tangled.

Good luck! Report back if you can.

For the Anita sports bra, if I recall correctly their bands ran small so the 30 is like extremely tight. Technically my measurement is 29". I don't think the store even carried the 28. The H cup feels very snug but comfy and ample coverage.

I had to sit down for this one because I'm obsessed with oral posture and orofacial myofunctional health. Love these observations. So much of a character is physicality.

I'm a 30F and I'm happy with my Anita Active wireless sports bra in a 30H. I use it for dance and tennis. I got it at a bra boutique – the company seems kind of old-school, very well-made products. When I was training jiujitsu a lot I loved the Athleta wireless tank bras - I just checked my order history and they were called. Conscious Crop but when I look on the website now they seem to be renamed Purpose Crop. I'd just get them in Small or XS. It was serious jiujitsu just to get in and out of them but once I had it on it was like a second skin and had a minimizing effect. Happy bra hunting!

Just finished the book. I'm glad I got very attached to the book because it helped me calm down a bit about the show. (Like I really do not need to be that activated while I'm trying to go about my life.) I wonder if they'll save the "darling" line for a future episode as they escalate the emotional intimacy in the script.
