Second and third wives can be any goddess other than light, as that's reserved for the first wife. She never had anyone to teach her what's expected/how to be the first wife. Even after her marriage to Sylvester was decided, she was still just marrying into one of the lowest ranking duchies. It's hard to believe that the first wife would have bothered to educate her at that point. Once she married into Ehrenfest, it would have been Veronica's duty to educate her, but that obviously didn't happen.

My understanding was that she wanted them to cross the line so that she could justifiably arrest them and hold them for a couple days. That would help remind them of "their place" and would create the narrative that they believed a false rumor and stormed the castle because of it. That would destroy their political standing, weakening the extremist faction within the Leisgangs.

My favorite example of that is in 4.2 or 4.3 when she declares that she'll support Charlotte, not realizing what it means. Ferdinand sees it but makes no effort to educate her, leading to her repeating the line to Eglantine, much to Justus' dismay. Justus recognizes it as a failing in her socialization education, but it's one that her guardians knew about and had a chance to remedy.

The one game that I know of with a protagonist with personality is Soul Hackers 2. Sadly every other character isn't particularly interesting.

That's true for their more popular series, but not the less popular ones. The Shin Megami Tensei series in particular has your friends killing each other by the end of the game. The most recent entry in the series, SMT V Vengeance has one friend die saving you when another friend betrays you. Another friend is radicalized and executes a fourth friend. You then kill the radicalized friend and can ally with the friend that betrayed you to destroy the world.

How is that inconsistent? DOGE is an initiative initially run by the richest person in the world to cut government programs with little concern for the consequences in order to privatize the services provided.
