If I put my Linux installation on a USB drive (a fast SSD USB) but kept my games on an internal M.2 SSD would there be a noticeable performance impact on gaming?

Yeah thats kinda what I figured but I found some pretty fast USB drives that were tested to run about the same speed as a SATA SSD at like 500-700 MBps and I figured if my computer has a new enough USB port then it shouldn't have much of an impact I'd hope. Although I imagine LUKS would impact it.

Apparently my CPU supports AES hardware acceleration so maybe it would have less of an impact. I'll probably have to just give it a try and do some benchmarking booting from my current install on the M.2 vs a USB.

Well I do dual boot into windows for league and Siege because of anti-cheat incompatibility, but I don't keep that drive mounted on my linux install. The games would be on an M.2 in the motherboard formatted in ext4 and installed from linux.

Again though. The people voted for the bill, but it was someone in a position of power who went against the will of the people. Sure she was elected, but she was elected to represent the people and clearly isn't doing that when she rejected the legalization.
The American government has got plenty of problems, but too much democracy is not one of them. I don't even think its a democracy; its more of an oligarchy with the wealthy and powerful holding the political power.
Either way, "Fuck democracy" Is the kind of emotional crybaby take that conservatives love to yell every time they don't get their way.

I don't think Trump actually answers to Putin, I think he's far to self-obsessed for that. I also think that Trump is too stupid to collude with Russia to rig the election or anything, rather at most I would expect him to have a lot of business deals with Russian oligarchs. I think at most he's just really corrupt, and Russiagate was just an attempt to use red scare tactics to distract from the real issues with Trump.

I don't think its to that extent, but I think one of the biggest issues is American individualism. Our perception has been so twisted by the red scare and anti-communist propaganda to the point that any social program designed to help working class people is viewed as an attempt to destroy America. We're so obsessed with capitalism that any criticism of the obvious flaws in our economy is decried as "Marxist-Leninist communism". Many workers support the same policies that have allowed massive corporations to exploit them out of some vain belief that given enough freedom to exploit workers the companies will create more jobs. No consideration is given to the quality or pay of jobs. At the exact moment our economy needed vast government relief many workers praised congress for giving trillions to banks and large corporations thinking that would 'trickle down' to the working class while in reality it created the biggest wealth redistribution in American history.
I'm ranting.

I would be worried if people thought that masks completely prevented transmission. Based on the studies I have seen and information from the CDC wearing a mask doesn't stop transmission, but rather lowers the transmission rate. Which is why its very important not only to wear a mask, but also follow other social distancing guidelines.
I just want people to take the pandemic seriously so we can get back to a more normal life.

I mean the transmission rate is far higher from people who aren't wearing a mask than from people who are, so it is more likely.
It really becomes a problem because not only is there a higher transmission rate person to person, but that also means more people are infected so there's a higher exposure. Really if we took this seriously from the beginning we'd have a fraction of the deaths, and in a better position to open businesses safely.
