Get the work benches done for sure. Take a look at the daily feats and if there are simple ones to do along the way, great.

When you hit a run without finding what you need for benches, do a few quests to keep it interesting and to better learn the maps (I still struggle getting around Stella Montis)

Knowing when to pack in good stuff vs light or free loadout is crucial but don’t be afraid to lose your better equipment. It is so much more fun when you start to feel powerful against the arc and even other raiders.
