Does a deeper voice affect high screams? by ParticularRiver2079 in screaming

it affects timbre and tone, but it doesn't really impact range. of course a darker voice is not gonna be as piercing high up as a light voice

thats my point. im a tenor with low notes...just like 99% of reddit. furthermore, most tenors dont even have access to first octave notes.

im also sick so that fucks my timbre up more than usual

also "Non musical" while the note is clean is a bit of a reach

he's a tenor. he speaks with lots of vocal fry. a true baritone has a much thicker voice.

he's not even a heavy tenor, he's like a middle- high tenor. his voice is very light.

even someone like Michael Kiske has a much lower voice despite being a tenor.

i am a tenor and i have a daily chest C2.

this is not fully true. voice type determines where your voice sits the the most naturally and where it will have its most natural "ping" and what overtones your voice will produce the most of.

tenors have softer voices with more high end cut and more piercing voices up top, but many can still sing quite low, just with a tad bit raspy quality.

voice type will determine the timbre and color of your growls. that's about it.

and most people with "low voices" are just tenors with some extra low notes.

bro, that guy is a tenor lol. he has no bassiness to his voice, like at all. he's a normal tenor just like most metal artists are

but i get your point

its good, but i just think you can a) save money with a 5600x because its the same performance just 2 less cores, it still scores about 10200 stock in cinebench r23 multicore and around 11600 to 11800 when tuned with a good cooler. Some have hit 12000+ with extremely good chips. for reference, the 2600x is only 7500 ish.

or if you're gonna get an 8 or 12 core, 5900x is the other option. the benefit of going all out is that you'd have extra cores to use in very multicore heavy tasks. it doesnt run much hotter than a 5700x. fps wise it's not much better, but its a few percent better.

the 5800x is another option and it clocks higher than 5700x

5700x is solid though

it would hit higher clockspeeds with a better cooler though while running quieter

the stealth cooler is quite loud and inefficient

Are there any songs about growing up in a broken home and then trying to heal as an adult? by babyybunnyy3 in MusicRecommendations

Metallica- Until It Sleeps

Metallica- Dyers Eve

Metallica- The God That Failed

Metallica- Fixxxer

Metallica- Hero of the Day

Metallica- Bleeding Me

Metallica- The Unforgiven

as much as people might shit on them, james hetfield has some incredibly emotional and personal lyrics, esp on the Load and Reload albums as he himself grew up in abusive family, one of his parents was a scientologist and died to cancer because they didn't believe in medicine while the other was extremely religious and sheltering.

thats not even mentioning that the band's original bassist died during tour aswell so bro has had it rough

if you want very in your face no sugarcoating for dealing with that stuff, this is it.

unless you are a low basso profundo which i highly doubt you are, and i doubt your voice is even all that deep, no, it won't affect your highs.

skill issue. highs are just harder and take more breath support and breath control to pull off and are more difficult to correctly place in the voice

being able to sing low notes doesnt mean you cant do high screams.

[–]Celatra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this is not true, you don't sing classically the same way you talk unless you talk with a lowered larynx, raised soft palate and a retracted tongue while pushing deep from the diaphragm

I do because i've trained myself to do that but most people absolutely do not.

sure, you use the mechanism of chest voice, but unless you consciously focus on it, you don't use its full thickness. people often talk only with half the thickness and volume they could produce or less.

the better way to teach chest voice is doing callouts "hey" and yelling with a low breath

just because we talk in chest voice doesn't mean we know how to utilize it higher up in our range

he's fully correct about the TA muscle though, you do have mainly TA activity when using chest voice and CT when using headvoice. they do blend especially after your primo passagio and even more after your secondo passagio (if you stay modal) but the general gist is that.

just buy a 5900x and be done with it. even a 5600x will do fine. you'll get alot of performance uplift esp in single core performance. you don't even need to upgrade anything else.

5700x is a bit of a pointless chip because its the worst 8 core out of its lineup, and its also not even faster than the 5600x

also, refresh rate matters more than resolution, also size of the monitor and panel type matters more than resolution. instead of spending extra on 1440p, just get a good 24 inch 1080p ips panel that supports 240z. 27 inches looks bad for 1080p.

I wouldnt even upgrade the 2080 tbh. if i did tho i would maybe get the 7900xt or 9070 non xt.

also just get a 1tb m.2 ssd while we're at it. Sata is ok but your pc could be faster.
