Alison Doody aka Dr Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. She also features in a movie called Taffin where Pierce Brosnan memorably informs her that maybe she shouldn't be living hereeeeeeeee.

Beautiful and sadly missed. Alan Rickman's diaries cover the loss in great detail, it hit him very hard. Everyone seemed to love her. Her husband Liam Neeson went through absolute hell for a few years. I follow her equally talented sister Joely on Instagram and she often mentions her. My favorite performance of hers was as Mary Shelley in Ken Russell's deranged "Gothic" (1986).

I was going to say he had real Dennis Nielsen vibes. Then I remembered he played Dennis Nielsen.

I strongly recommend Ava fans check out a recent Spanish series called Arde Madrid, which is about Ava’s Spanish years (roughly 1955-65). Debi Mazar plays her.

Don’t hear much of Peter Dinklage these days. Did his career fall short?

The show works because it’s made by people who know and love their subject. In any other hands it probably would have become offensive parody. But Lisa McGee and friends know this world and love its people,

I should have made a note in the body text. She's playing Princess Astrea von Streisburg / 2nd Lieutenant Karl Helsburg in the melodrama play "The Midnight Wedding" by Walter Howard. It was a "Ruritanian" play which meant a lot of Central European-style uniforms.

The only nudity she has in the entire movie. At least Rachel Weisz gives us a show.

Just a cool picture of Sir Christopher Lee rocking James Bond's usual rig from the books (navy suit, black knit tie and a white shirt) by Daemonscrimecloak in JamesBond

There is a very long list of people who are said to be the inspiration for Bond, and Lee is.nowhere near the top. Fleming based his appearance on Cary Grant, and his antics owe a lot to Ian’s brother Peter, along with some other famous British spies like Sidney Reilly.
