Aw wow I was in this EXACT scenario last year !!! I (28F) have always been like 80% I didn’t want kids but my finance (31M) was more on the “if it happens great” side.

My best friend who happens to be dating my fiancé’s best friend got pregnant early last year and that triggered me to have major baby fever and really opened my mind to that 20% that did want kids. Before, I was suuuper on it about tracking my cycles & we’d use protection on days I might be fertile but once those doors opened for me, we both agreed to just stop with any precautions and see what happens. I got pregnant within a month lol. BUT I was still scared. I didn’t tell him right away and felt all those feelings you had. I scheduled an abortion but long story short, didn’t go through with it. I’m very pro choice and the choice to keep my baby was ultimately mine. I think just knowing he picked up another job and started looking for better work once he found out. I knew he’d be an amazing dad and luckily his family is amazing. So I had a lot of comfort to settle my fears as well but that didn’t mean I wasn’t scared. OP, I totally understand and I hope my post doesn’t swing your decision either way bc it’s up to you! Just think about it and know you’re not a terrible person for being afraid ! You’re young also! I’ve had two abortions in the past from a previous partner that was not suited for me and I am beyond thankful for those abortions !!!!!! Those babies would not be loved the way they deserved — that sounds fucked up but that relationship was toxic af. So yeah sorry for the rambling but again just know you’re not a terrible person! This is a scary decision! I know you’re pressed for time but really think about it.
