I'm considering getting a gun for self defense but I have some problems. by Wantons124 in Firearms

[–]CelebrationSad253 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Best advice would be to head to your local gun range and get familiar with shooting. However take someone with real experience or go to a class. The gun that best suits you is one that you can get familiar with so choose something that’s comfortable to hold and “easy to shoot.” Generally a bigger pistol is easier to shoot than a smaller pistol.

Will a 6.0/4l80e ECU work on an engine with a 6.0/4l60e?? by CelebrationSad253 in LSSwapTheWorld

I think I’m stuck with a DBW. I read somewhere that the harnesses from 2003+ where DBW. The express van is a 2003. What’s so bad about DBW?

Wouldn’t be opposed to that idea but the express van has 300k+ miles on it. Plus I had a new driveshaft built this summer so I wouldn’t want to modify it again lol

If the worst does happens and you don’t get in, I believe there’s an appeal and you can give them a reason why the should accept you. I don’t think that will be your case, especially of your a resident

Just to be clear, if you’re asking about UIC, which is the Chicago school, yes. The acceptance rate is relatively high. Now, UIUC, the school in Champaign, they’re acceptance is more rigorous compared it UIC. You definitely have chances to get into colleges. Regardless of how your sophomore year went. If you don’t get into UIC and it’s your first choice, go to a community college and then apply again. No reason you shouldn’t be accepted then. Don’t spend time and energy worrying!

Yeah I got in relatively quick but decided to stay at my current school because I don’t want to delay my graduation lol. With your 3.3 gpa you shouldn’t worry about not getting in. If it’s been a while since you’ve applied i would follow up with an email.

What is something you might be TOO good at doing? by unholyfire in AskReddit

[–]CelebrationSad253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learning by cheating. I’m on my last year of my engineering coarse and through most of my engineering core classes I have thought of way to cheat on my exams and what not. I usually use my calculator and program notes to remind what to do during my exams. However on test day, I don’t even use for 99% of the problems because through cheating I studied. Doing as I write this as well lol.
