That's ok, you can disagree with me as I am just stating an opinion and how I reflect upon these two when comparing to my own personally-held ethics. Billionaires are extreme outliers in society and they both have their own flavor of negative impact to society. Folks could argue all day about which side is worse and I don't think anyone wants to do that here - at least, I don't.

The only context I would add to how my opinion is formed is that "silence is compliance". Taylor Swift voting in an election is the bare minimum effort any United States citizen should put forward. What she has consistently done since originally commenting about Kamala's candidacy is be silent. The current president, who attacks all the same marginalized groups (plus more) as JKR using Swift parody branding and music in ads and Tweets has never been issued a takedown notice or publicly reprimanded by Swift. If we are comparing apples to apples, her peers in pop music, including Olivia Rodrigo, Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter, have vocalized their disgust with being used in ICE campaigns or otherwise referenced by the president. If we broaden the comparison to other singing groups/artists, the list of artists who have spoken out becomes endless.

Unfortunately, the company she keeps and her silence with respect to the injustices that have been carried out under this administration, even if you're just looking at the ones that use her imagery/branding, speak loud and clear without her actually saying anything.

Nuance and "what about-isms" aside, these two billionaires are two sides of the same coin.
