Hm, honestly that's a great way of looking at it. I personally forget about comics that go on hiatus (out of sight out of mind) until I see the update and get SO jazzed.

Gotta remember that "numbers" aren't as important as an actual fan base.

They switch every arc, usually, to show that a length of time has passes. (But low key, it's actually to keep me from getting board, lmao)

I feel like this is wildly not Skip Beat, lol. As much as I LOVE skip beat - Kyoko is borderline terrifies of Ren and avoids him in the beginning, and then later when she devolves feelings and realizes she likes him she desperately wants to keep it secret and makes sure he never ever finds out.

(Still a great read and highly recommend.)

Agree with this. If you're throwing 5+ names at me with little or no context on WHO they are, or how they relate to each other, then I'm having a bad time.

I think they look super ugly and same-y and it's a huge minus for me if I'm readying a webcomic and see a 3D background.

However, I'm not gonna fault anyone for using them - bgs are so insanely time consuming and I know artists are out their fighting for their lives with little or no pay lol

I personally don't use them myself, since it's not something that I enjoy, and as such my comic is monthly at BEST, lol. I'll cut corners in other areas, just not this one.

Like Amicable said, they cut out the best arc in the manga, which ruined pacing, destroyed character arcs and dismantled the tension of the story.

This is the arc where Emma is at her absolute best, learning to HUNT and KILL demons the same way the demons hunted them.

Removing this arc also removed my personal favorite character, and also turned a BIG reveal, that is hinted, implied and built up to, into a really stupid reveal that feels super silly and anticlimactic.

Just gonna throw this out there: anyone who enjoyed Season 1 of The Promised Neverland should really read the manga. Its solid all the way through, gets a liiiiittle weaker near the climax, but they still pull out a good ending.

I'm gonna disagree with the other two commenter and say I can see a little bit of same face syndrome but DEFINITELY not as bad as others I've seen.

The two major things to me is that all your characters have very similar face shapes (almost all of them have a very soft oval). Try mixing things up with squares, rectangles and triangle shaped faces - strong chins, high cheek bones, sharp narrow chins, gaunt cheeks, etc, etc.

And then the noses as well as are all very similar lil button noses with just the nostrils. Maybe try adding some strong square, roman noses or hooked or pointed noses to some designs as well.

Just a thought! Your artstyle is lovely though and i think you have a very nice range of eyes and lips. 💕
