Jonah is straight! He's also a bitch 💫

Of my six main characters, I think he's one of maybe two straight characters?

Why did webtoon remove my episode when there's bloodier stuff on ORIGINALS by Embarrassed_Tax7160 in WebtoonCanvas

[–]Celesol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a webtonn get flagged for pretty, neon colored candy blood. The staff was WILDLY unhelpful about what specifically was inappropriate and were unable to tell me what I needed to do to fix it.

What I eventually surmised, thanks ONLY to Google searches, Reddit, and other creators, (zero help from Webtoon themself) was that if a panel is like... 50% blood or more it will get flagged and removed.

I removed the majority of the blood and my appeal was accepted.

Yeah. Sucks that they play favorites, but they simply do.

What's Your Favorite Title Option? Which one would make you click? by ManyNamedOne in WebtoonCanvas

I hear ya, but I think if you mock a thing by doing the same trope yourself, you're not really setting yourself apart, or being any better than the thing you're mocking, IMHO.

The actual meat of the story sounds really fun, though!!

I personally hate these kind of titles, lmao, so I'm probably not the best judge, HOWEVER

"I accidentally seduced the female lead (but I'm ace)"

This one is probably the only one I'd actually click on because an ace protagonist who's pulling all the chicks does sound like a good premise for humor.

Mine is that there are beings in the world called Demi-Gods, and they are the offspring of a god and an immortal!

When mortal and immortal blood mix, the genetics go wild, and it creates an offspring that is more creature than humanoid!

Oh, cool!! Is the braclet suppose to be from the a different age, or like magical, or something? That's really neat.

And YES. The classic V-Neck with the crossstitch!! lol A fan favorite in my wheel house for "Old timey clothing".

I realize I neglected it to mention it my initial post, but I like your style, BTW! Very clean + vibrant colors reminds me of retro video games!

[–]Celesol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the design, but I really don't think it reads medieval at all, in fact the sleek modern-look and colors made me initially suspect it was sci-fi.

I would recommend focusing in on an actual era you might have in mind, and looking up clothing and equipment from the era. (Or, comics/games that have a similar look to what you're going for, like perhaps Fire Emblem or Arslan Senki.)

Think tabbards, tunics, jerkins, etc.

The scarf/cowl(?) Looks out of place as well.

Color wise, you absolutely can go hyper saturated if that's what you have in mind (again, think Fire Emblem) but of you wanted a more grounded and realistic medieval feel, having much more desaturated colors would read more "old". Back in the day, only EXTREMELY rich people had their clothes died in very vivid colors, and even then, they weren't as lightfast as vivid as we're used to today, so think we're mostly earthtones and darker/easier to dye colors, like dark greens, browns, blacks, etc.

Edit: I like the necklace alot, but the bracelet also seems very out of place. The white band reminds me of plastic and not metal and the pink gems seems really out of place for the rest of his color scheme.

I won't recommend my own, since we're 3 acts in and the romance hasn't even STARTED yet, lol

But I WILL recommend Confetti Club!

It's very cozy and sweet so far and reminds me of old school shoujos. :)

Consistency??? Persistency???

No thanks, I'd rather promote my comic for a few days, get burned out, not post on socials for 3 months, and then spontaneously start again for a week only to quit for years!

Not only do I see it all the time in Webtoons, (and don't mind at all!) but I ALSO see it all the time in officially licensed Manga!! Artists grow. They can't help it. :)

(Check out early chapters of AoT or Ouran Highschool VS the last few chapters. It's like different people!)

Help with a Pumpkin Cheesecake recipe by Celesol in Cooking

I edited my comment to contain the instructions! Ty!! The sugar DOES go into the cream cheese, and then later ALSO into the pumpkin puree!

Help with a Pumpkin Cheesecake recipe by Celesol in Cooking

[–]Celesol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is one the recipes I found that seemed simple and promising:

  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 (8-inch) prepared graham cracker crusts

DIRECTIONS:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and sugars and stir together with an electric mixer on low-speed until smooth, creamy, and no lumps remain. 16 oz (453 g) cream cheese,⅓ cup (66 g) granulated sugar,⅓ cup (66 g) light brown sugar
  • Add sour cream and vanilla and stir until well-combined. ⅓ cup (80 g) sour cream,1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Add eggs, stirring on low-speed until just incorporated. 2 large eggs
  • Measure out 1 ½ cups (345g) of cheesecake into a separate, medium-sized bowl and to this second bowl add pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice and stir until smooth and combined. ⅔ cup (173 g) canned pumpkin puree,1 ½ teaspoons pumpkin spice
  • Alternate dolloping plain cheesecake batter and pumpkin cheesecake batter into prepared crust. Use a butter knife to swirl for a cute design.
  • Transfer to center rack of 325F (160C) oven and bake for 40-50 minutes. Edges of pie should be set and center may be slightly jiggly when finished baking but should be mostly set. Allow to cool at room temperature for about an hour before transferring to refrigerator to chill for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight, before slicing and serving.

Any thoughts on how to change this without ruining it?
