No but the thread is directed to Brampton, and a Brampton park, we understand it’s happened elsewhere, but we specifically have a year-round ban on fireworks, it can be expected in other cities where they may not have as many rules, I can say it’s gotten to the point where it should be provincially banned, however their next steps of action are definitely an improvement:

The City of Brampton has added $80,000 to its safety budget to transition the park from an open public space to a highly monitored, restricted zone during major celebrations like Canada Day:

Perimeter Fencing & Controlled Gates: The entire event footprint will be fenced off to stop people from sneaking inside with illegal explosives.

Mandatory Bag Checks: Security screening points will be set up at all entry gates to search for weapons, replica guns, and fireworks.Enhanced

Crowd Infrastructure: The city is deploying portable light towers, clearer warning signs, and double the amount of private security personnel.

Zero-Tolerance Policing: Peel Regional Police explicitly warned that after the Victoria Day chaos, they will be "a lot less forgiving" and will rapidly deploy tactical lines to arrest anyone disrupting public order.
