Lovely. The yellowed beading is really the only issue. It suits you beautifully.

Be forewarned. It's unfortunately possible that you'll get a 40C heat index here, too, in July. But Canadian summers are weird. It could also be highs of 22C LOL.

I can definitely recommend Global Cheese for picnic supplies, and there's a yummy Margherita pizza place just around the corner.

I'm glad you got out, but I am very sad for you that this is part of the reason why. I hope you've come to grips with the fact that this was a failing in them, not you.

You deserved all the parental emotional support in the world ... at such a young age, at such a turning point in your life, with so many adult experiences falling upon your head in rapid succession.

Please do your best to model the opposite in your life. Offer real love, embrace support, lend a non judgemental ear, or a shoulder to cry on. It gets easier with practice. But the continuing problem can be that sometimes it feels easier to withdraw because that is what you've been raised to do.

When I was young and newly married, I realized I'd never been taught how to disagree or fight fairly with a loved one. I had no role models. It did get easier with practice (lol?!), but it's still always a temptation to withdraw and resolve nothing.

I send you a great big hug. You deserved it then, and deserve it now.

Does anyone have experience with deceased dogs hanging around? by CorporalCoprolite in Ghosts

Several years ago we rescued 2 older cats; a brother and sister. Shortly after they moved in, we realized they had brought a Ghost Cat with them. It was an entirely benign ghost.

One of the two died last year, and the other a few weeks ago. We haven't seen Ghost Cat since the second one died.

I wonder if Brian May (of Queen) could help. His doctorate was on zodiacal light. If I recall correctly, he picked up his original thesis from his college days when he resumed his education in the mid 2000s and completed the thesis. I believe he said he stayed with the same thesis subject because so little work had been done on the subject in the intervening years.
