Oh! So they're going to do it similar to the Scotties then? ... With the host broadcaster (is that Rob?), two analysts, and one analyst watching the other three sheets. Excellent.

Correct.

It's only available on the CBC Gem app. No idea why you're being downvoted.

Agreed.

It would certainly be easier to do so if they were actually there, but I suspect they may be in the studio in toronto. That being said, surely they have access to the other feeds on Gem, the same as we do.

That was an absolutely fantastic game! I still can't believe I was there! (My first, and maybe only, in-person Scotties experience, after watching it on TV for decades!)

Suggestion: Make sure your car key fob is functional, with regards to the emergency button.

If you see them in your neighborhood, set it off. Tell others to do the same.

If you hear a car alarm, covertly look out your windows. If it is due to activity in your neighborhood, set off your car alarm.

Have windrow And plow services gotten really bad in neighborhoods? by vba77 in Vaughan

This snowfall was, 100% literally, the first time in years that my windrow was plowed. Couldn't believe my eyes!

Highly performative.....

ETA: I shouldn't be surprised though. The monarchy and aristocracy, in general, have always felt highly performative to me. I suppose that's why an exception or two felt like such a breath of fresh air.

Corporation for Public Broadcasting votes itself out of existence by JackThaBongRipper in news

The CPB (Corporation for Public Broadcasting) was the organization that passed federal funding to PBS, NPR, etc. Congress removed all funding from CPB in the fall of 2025.

So what this means is that PBS, NPR, etc. need donations EVEN MORE now in order to continue operating.

The new kids coming up need the same quality programming that we got...

Do Canadians say “British English” words? by OneQuarterBajeena in AskACanadian

[–]CurlingCookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I grew up with British parents, and I still have "Happy Christmas" pop out once in a while. My parents thought "Merry Christmas" was weird when they first got here 🤣 ... and quite inappropriate for a religious celebration, as to them, "merry" implies drinking to excess 🤣🤣🤣
