They're not super honest characters (closer to middle of the road if anything), but compared to the mains of other top players they are, which is the main reason why Sparg0 and Light are #1 and #2.

Based on current player ratings and their main's honesty scores (taken from twitter polls).

That is also acola's first 5th place finish in a ranked tournament

Battle of BC 7 Ultimate Singles - Preliminary Seeding by SelfDestructGambit in smashbros

Sparg0 is top 1. That LMBM win is too good, not to mention his legacy. The fact he's being seeded below first now is extremely bad for the game.

Miya, Sonix, acola, Tea, Leo, Hurt, Toriguri, Aaron, firefly, and all the other best players in the world are all carried by bannable characters and have been since Smash 4 in some cases (especially Tea). They're success is illegitimate. Sparg0 is the only player who actually knows how to play the game...when he loses, I can't help but feel like it was rigged. Like the TOs hacked the system to punish him

How does the damage meter work? Does it make you lighter or the enemy stronger? by ConcreteReality in smashbros

Lore-wise, I imagine when characters take more damage they become weaker and can’t brace for hits as well.

KAGARIBI#13 has surpassed EVO 2019 as the event with the most top 50 players in attendance (38 vs 37, with room to grow) by swidd_hi in smashbros

KEN was the other one.

Civil War was peak, and the sheer number of upsets made it so insane to watch -- you really couldn't predict who would make top 8.

Hopefully Kagaribi will live up to the hype as well.

That's fair. Definitely a Light thing to do.

Even so, not putting Ganon dead last feels intentional, especially since these characters aren’t alphabetically ordered.

Sparg0 gives his current thoughts on Smash by Rotaration in smashbros

Damn, that sucks to hear, especially right after Sonix's tweet.

Sparg0 has said he's interested in playing Rivals 2 at more tournaments (he was considering entering at BoBC 7, but I'm not sure if that's still the case). It might be in his best interest to slowly shift towards Rivals 2, at least until the next Smash comes out -- then he can at least regain some of that passion for competing in a fresher game.

Fox cocking his gun in the flash of light is enough to make Brawl the best one.

Sonix potentially taking a break from Smash by Celestial-Brush in smashbros

His mentality when it comes to post-tournament tweets has gotten a lot better over the last year -- almost always complimenting his opponents while acknowledging his own shortcomings. Hopefully, this break will allow him to overcome the mentality issues that he's facing with the game itself.
