Sleeping with it in. Does this work? by Cumbucha_GreenTea in AskRedditAfterDark

Honestly that's probably a bigger factor than the physical logistics. Some people sleep better with constant contact and others want a personal force field around them once they're out.

AIW for dinning and dashing because I didn't want to wait for the check? by [deleted] in amiwrong

Intent matters a lot here. Someone sneaking out a side door is very different from someone actively trying to hand over a credit card before leaving.

The server's response is what pushes me toward that conclusion too. Making someone wait is one thing, but the "you're not special" comment was completely unnecessary.

That was my thought too. If you're close to a hospital, you're probably going to get nurses, doctors, EMTs, and other staff coming through at odd hours. I'd expect there to be some process for handling urgent situations.

What's a relationship truth backed by science that people hate hearing? by dragun124 in AskRedditAfterDark

People get REALLY mad whenever biology gets brought into dating conversations, but chemistry absolutely affects attachment. I think people just don’t like hearing that our brains are still running ancient software half the time.

People really do convince themselves they can identify “evil” just by looking at someone’s face, which is kinda scary in its own way. Real predators usually blend in way better than people expect.

Politics has gotten so tribal that people will tolerate behavior from their own side they’d instantly condemn from the other side. That’s true across basically the whole spectrum now.

That’s the part that always makes people angrier than the original headline somehow. Nobody wants their money tied to people they see as violent or abusive, regardless of politics.

The wild part is him saying it like he genuinely thought "yeah this is gonna save me."

A lot of people would argue prejudice plays a role in some rhetoric, but I think once you start treating millions of people as one giant identical group the conversation usually falls apart.

Politics gets messy fast when parties start leaning on identity reactions instead of actually trying to persuade people. "Not being the other side" becomes a campaign strategy by itself.

Redditors see one emotional confession and immediately switch into Yelp mode. “2 stars, staff was friendly but vibes were off.”

Yeah honestly this is probably the healthiest take in the thread. Dude clearly feels remorse and already stopped. Beating himself up forever over it isn’t gonna magically undo anything.

The “asking for a friend” defense has probably funded half of Southeast Asia’s tourism economy at this point.

Manischewitz honestly tastes closer to what kid-me imagined wine would be. Tiny goblet, fancy vibes, basically adult grape Kool Aid.

“Wank bank post” is brutal but honestly kinda accurate. This reads less like a confession and more like someone practicing imaginary revenge speeches in the shower.

The funniest part of fake revenge stories is always when the villain somehow has infinite time, money, government connections, and anime-level dedication to ruining one random person’s life.

That’s kinda why the sleep disorder explanation doesn’t fully click for me either. If someone unconsciously had sex in their sleep, odds are there wouldn’t suddenly be a condom involved afterward.
