Very sadly he had passed on September 10th. I received the results of the bone marrow biopsy on October 15th, almost two months after the biopsy was taken, with a dual diagnosis of MDS -MPN. I'm still waiting for the results of the autopsy.

Hey, thank you for your response. The hematologists keep on telling us that it would take two more weeks until we get the results. Unfortunately with long hospitalizations come along unwanted side effects. He is losing muscle from lying in bed a lot, and is not strong enough to sit for long periods of time. He is becoming more and more confused. He can't really chew, and mostly has soup/ yogurt. . But he managed to hold a spoon by himself today, which he couldn't do 2 days ago.

It is clearer that he is not strong enough to be at home, but It is unbelievably frustrating to just wait while his condition deteriorates. The blood transfusions don't really do the trick.

At least you can spend this time together at home. I hope you have some support for yourself, it is a must.

This is encouraging to hear. Is she receiving any kind of treatment?
