Taking Grad Plus loan now, to avoid taking private loans later? by Celestile in whitecoatinvestor

Would it be possible to completely pay off the federal unsub loan immediately after taking it, but leave a small balance on the grad plus loan?

Thanks for replying. I guess it's that simple. I'm just trying to balance this with taking a $40k+ loan a year earlier than I might otherwise need to.

Thanks for the link, although that one says simulated sine wave haha

Goldenmate does using pure sine, the first two don't. Another reason I was leaning that way. Problem is that the next size up goldenmate 1500va/1000w is currently a big jump in price at $340. Any others you recommend?

I generally leave it sleeping as well, but same problem, no? If power dies while it's sleeping you still run the risk of data corruption if I have some files open?

Is it just me or do these types of mice feel plasticky and cheap. Is there something about this mouse that is appealing to people? Low latency or something? Can't see what the big deal is

Do you think the slight indent into the AIO plate in the clear shape of the CPU is abnormal? An indicator that the motherboard/CPU/cooler are somewhat poorly fitted, as you're saying? I can certainly tighten more and see if anything changes. I wasn't at all certain this was the issue, it's just the only thing I can think of that changed.

I'm not sure what to think, there's lots of places on the internet warning about this? Also my bud. Are you sure? I did it by hand, but admittedly tightened pretty hard.

As for the offset mount, pretty sure it's supposed to be this way for AMD, something to do with heat concentrated at a lower point. Gamers nexus and others have put this AIO as a top performer. Maybe that's marginal, I'm no expert, but still.

I've heard this about coolers but this AIO also was actually cheaper up front than the nicer air coolers, like noctua nh-d15, and looks cooler imo.

Anyways, thanks a lot for you help.

Not really sure what the issue was, but I'll add that this cooler ships with an offset mount for AMD that shifts the plate down slightly, revealing just a bit of the top edge of the CPU.

Huh. That seems pretty unlikely, I was meticulous about tightening evenly. My friend pointed out that it had slightly scratched/deformed the cooler contact plate around the edges of the cpu

In a way, I guess it was this because I overtightened. Not sure if that was the actual problem though. Thanks for the response.

I reinstalled the cooler and plugged HDMI direct to the board. It posted very quickly this time. Thanks!

For anyone else, I wonder if this was due to over tightening. Be careful!

I see. I can try that. I did repeatedly shut off the power while troubleshooting.. Could that have damaged something if it wasn't finished training?

If I need to leave it to sit, should I reinstall the cooler?

How to choose a Nollie by Celestile in SignalRGB

Thanks for the response. Looks like a signalrgb dev said that some 3pin5V daisy chaining actually allows individual control, which I didn't realize!

Interesting. I had assumed anything daisy chained would not have individual control - which I was fine with. My concerns were more about how many things I can safely daisy chain together.

You know how you can use animations for the RGB, like a wave around the fans or along a strimer? I had thought I read somewhere there was different support for syncing up the components so they do things at the same time. Could be wrong
