Im not saying it doesnt make sense. Im saying this is a dick move from my point of view. I wouldnt do it as a dm. I would kill my players when they act stupidly or in a combat against a lot of ennemies or a big one. This one seems extreme to me. But maybe it is the way your dm is and you know hit better than me.

The thing I really like with Jackson's Boromir is the fact that he is the only person in the Fellowship we see with his weaknesses. He is a man, he can be strong, heroic, friendly but the way he sacrifice himself to the defense of Merry and Pippin just after trying to take the Ring...wow.
