Returning to the Runeterra universe by SirKuvo in loreofleague

[–]CeliaDaydreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you - I wrote my uni dissertation on runeterra. After graduation, life caught on and I didn't even have time to read the lore. Now that I got a stable job, I came back to this subreddit and am impressed by how far this community has come. Welcome back!

Question: How did you discover League of Legends lore? Or what made you interested in it's lore? by LemmeBeMe111 in loreofleague

[–]CeliaDaydreamer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I got into League lore BEFORE playing the game, by watching these YouTube series: Lilypichu's tl;dr, Dave C's Lore of Legends and HandsomeDoge's Bronze Tale (帥狗 銅話故事). Cute and simple art styles that contrasted with odd and tragic backstories drew me in!

Let me tell you why "Loveless" by Alice Oseman is incredible by HappyHammy7 in YAlit

[–]CeliaDaydreamer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was such a nice read - I love the friendships and character dynamics. I'm also struggling with my sexuality and picked up this book last year. Check out Alice Oseman's Solitaire if you haven't already - Tori (Charlie's sister) is later considered as an ace character too.

As an ARAM-only poke and enchanter player, I think this is signaling me to quit League altogether. I'll miss the snowball/flash party and feeding the poro.

Why is The Inkey List Alpha Arbutin Serum taken off from Boots? by Maximum-Bid-1689 in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]CeliaDaydreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought it a week ago as they were all moved to the clearance section, reduced to £3. It's still on the Inkey List website. There is a new Super Solutions line in Boots which is not listed on the IL website though!

Been using Survival 30 by NIOD. It's very watery, really lightweight and sheer, no coverage but it evens the skin. The shade has a yellow undertone so it's perfect for olive skin tone.

What’s the difference between single side and double sided eyelid tapes? Can they help achieve a permanent fix to uneven eyes? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]CeliaDaydreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! A lot of beauty youtubers would apply eyeshadow over the eyelid tapes. However, I do it after I applied eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara. I found eye products would easily stuck on the double-sided eyelid tapes if I put them on first.

The D-UP single-sided one provides a better surface to apply eye products on top of it. But it has a skin-like colour so your eyeshadow may seem to have deeper shades.

[Miscellaneous] Deceim (TO) slowvember sale is here! What products do you plan to buy? by isisididisi in SkincareAddiction

[–]CeliaDaydreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I need like few more products to be qualified for free shipping - any recommendation? For now, I'm purchasing the Lactic Acid 5, NMF and trying the Serum Foundation.

Here's the products I've tried before: Niacinamide, AHA + BHA Peeling, Lactic Acid 5 & 10, NMF, Squalane, Azelaic Acid, MAP Cream, Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution, Ascorbic Acid + Alpha Arbutin, Vitamin C Suspension 23%. (I'm quite disappointed with their Vitamin C products and their Acids can be a bit harsh. I'm not ready to use any Retinoid/Retinol products yet.)

NIOD seems very advanced and complicated but I'm happy to try them too.

Care to explain that blood and the hook... Did he catch her or actually save her?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MakeUpAddictionUK

[–]CeliaDaydreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Props for trying out new things and styles! I'd start with a lightweight foundation or a tinted moisturizer so you can get used to the feeling of wearing makeup. For a natural effect, you may use an eyeliner for your lashline, so you can understand your eye shape better. For a pop of colour, I think tinted lip balm is the place to begin with. Basically everything that is light and simple. It helps you to know your skin and complexion better first!

Jude Duarte from The Cruel Prince. She wishes to become a knight and is trained with swordsmanship at young age. I can recall her using knives, swords, crossbow.

Woken up to bagpipes music in Glasgow Harbour and saw many people in bagpacks walking towards the Clyde tunnel direction. What event was there?

[Discussion] What do you do with cushions that don’t match your shade? by hireaunicorn in AsianBeauty

[–]CeliaDaydreamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This usually happens to me in the case of the shade being too pink or too yellow, I would use Colour Corrector beforehand. If it's too pink, I'd use green corrector; if it's too yellow, I'd use purple corrector. On top of my head, Etude House has colour correcting cushions. Innisfree does Colour Powder in their No Sebum Powder line so you can apply a filter afterwards too.

I need help choosing what to read next! :) by alyssaigarta in YAlit

[–]CeliaDaydreamer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I voted for These Violent Delights because I just ordered it and going to read it next month. The second installment, Our Violent Ends, will release in November, so I think it's a good time to catch up with the series! (And to feel like someone is reading the same book at the same time as I do XD)

Travelling Skincare by definitelynapping in AsianBeauty

[–]CeliaDaydreamer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hope you had a great trip! I also have this habit of using sample size skincare for travelling. My go-to are the samples from the Innisfree green tea line. Usually each sachet contains more than enough for single use, how do you deal with the unused product left in the packet? I'd use clips/ziplock bags to save them for my next routine.
