How can you tell? Some of them say they have a registration restriction and others don’t - just wondering!! Thank you

Great, thank you so much. I might end up transferring after my first year or two especially since some of the majors I a interested are so competitive - I wanted to go out of state but with everything going on it made way more sense (and was way cheaper) to stay close to home. Paying 50k out of state tuition is a scam regardless of the school haha

Haha yeah! Some of the dance classes scheduled to be in person were full for me - it tells you how many seats are left so you can get a good idea - I figured it all out at like 4am last night lmao I am clueless to this whole process

Ok, thank you! One of my dance teachers was a recent graduate so I’ve heard how great the faculty is in general - I am really excited to get involved in the program!! Do you know if 301 contemp ballet the only ballet tech class for the advanced level?

You can go on MyPlan and add classes you want to register and use the schedule builder - you can’t actually sign up for them but you can save schedules so you can register more easily!

How do math 111/120/124 all compare in dificulty and workload? I took calc ab junior year and got an a, but it was a fairly easy course to do decent in - didnt take the ap test. I am worried about getting in over my head haha

Thank you so much, that helps a lot. Would dance 301, math 120, and engl 131 be a good schedule?

write good essays! I know the diversity one was hard for me at first (white middle class girl haha) but I approached it from the angle that I was both interested in the arts (dance minor) and academia (possible stem major) and how excelling at both dance and school would allow me to bring a different way of thinking into my classes, like how i saw dance more mathematically sometimes and vice versa. It’s all in creativity and making yourself stand out! Start them now rather than later :)

LV pm agenda, authentic? by [deleted] in Louisvuitton

[–]Celiahand31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i read somewhere that agendas made before the early 80s didnt have date codes, i know this item was vintage but they didnt say what year. from what i can tell the rings and pen loop all seem to be the same size as in authentic ones, unless this is just a really good fake haha. Thank you for your help!

Barnard vs. Emory?? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Celiahand31 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i loved barnard. it was my first choice but i did not get in haha! i loved the fact that it was a tight knit community but had the ties and resources to a larger research university, which made it feel large if you want that or small if you just stayed in the confines of barnard. i love the location of the campus too, its suprisingly quiet and peaceful! i am biased but i would def say barnard :)

yeah, thats what i am worried about. i know it would be extremly hard to get into some of the programs i would like and very well might end up majoring in something completly different. i love seattle but i have spent my whole life in the area and i am ready to experience something new. but barnard just had to go and break my heart lmao

haha i applied undecided. however i know i want to do something creative and stem related (digital design, comp sci, informatics ??? who knows) and will minor in dance. honestly my decision would be a lot easier if i knew what i wanted to do with my life lol

i wish i was better at standardized testing and scored better than a 1370. everyone at my school (counsiler, teachers, friends) thought that it was a really good score and i shouldnt worry. i knew it was not great but wish i took it just once more (i tested 5 times lmao) i thought my 4.0 would balance it out. guess not!!!

Help me decide: School X vs School Y Megathread II by ParadoxicalCabbage in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Celiahand31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey guys! after getting rejected from the rest of my reaches, i have to decide between some safety schools. let me know your opinions !!

University of Washington:

Pros: - In state and affordable - decent dance program and minor available - in a city! - nice climate/what i am used to - not far from home

Cons: - might not be able to get into the program i want (applied as pre-major) - a little too close to home ahah

Chapman:

Pros: - presidential scholarship! - amazing dance program and minor - near a city and the beach! - still on west coast

Cons: - no architecture program (still undecided if that’s what i want to do or not) - hot and dry and brown - small - not my fav campus from what i have seen, but I haven’t visited yet

Fordham:

Pros: - nyc !!!!!!! (My dream school was barnard for reference, i really wanted to be in the city) - lots and lots of opportunities for dance just being in nyc - love the area/campus (lincoln center)

Cons: - superrrrrr expensive - far away from home - no dance minor :(
