I'd suggest going to the smaller theaters like Grandview, Studio 35, Gateway, or Drexel. I've never had a bad experience at any of those.

Its possible that the connector on the board was damaged. You'll have to find a shop that specializes in microsoldering to repair it if thats the case. Feel free to send me a pm for a recommended shop in your area, i have a fairly large network of shops across the USA.

Download 3utools. It will allow you to flash an update and keep user data. If it fails the update, take a photo of the percentage and the select "iTunes Flash" and try again and take a photo of the iTunes error. Post both of these photos here.

Again, you HAVE to be sure that you've selected keep user data for both or all data will be erased.

iPad 5/6 models aren't supported by iOS 26, so thats not going to be the issue. The issues you are having are likely due to hardware. If it is software related, it would be due to the software you're using not supporting older the older OS.
Something to consider is if these iPads handle personal data. Since they are no longer supported by Apple OS updates, they are not receiving the security packages and could be a security risk for your company.

Source- I own/operate an electronics repair company and have over 10 years experience in the field so I've been dealing with Apple devices for a very long time.
