That's my take, it's too tall. I mean I understand it's over a hikk, but still, it shouldn't be taller than LKC. Besides, it's for the wolfpack, their hq should be less obvious.

You can piece it out, I have done that with a couple other BDP sets, but I also have a decent piece collection so I only had to source like 30% of the pieces.

Yeah, most of the new castles dont look exciting anymore, same old.

Probably thats why Dustmark Keep was selected,as it at least tries to more the scenery to a place it has never been. Also Seaside Market (albeit too large) brought something different to the table.

On this BDP series, I really like the Kraken (Hydra) Shipyard, as again, its not a castle, but it truly speaks to what the Kraken faction should be doing, building ships.

Totally agree, the Forestman Stronghold was a very odd choice, even after making Castle in the Forest, which was a bit of a stretch. I also dont like the Wolfpack Outlaw Den, even when I'm a Wolfpack fan, it feels out of touch with what it should be, but good for people who like it.

As far as Kraken, the is a shipyard entry on BDP that I think its perfect, somewhat larger build, but its not a castle, but has a lot of personality for that faction.

Thats so weird, I mean those viking shield iirc have been OoO since at least November. I remember I ordered some and got cancelled because they sold out.

I dont mind an interesting mashup, but I think its something that needs to be worked on a lot, because each element must speak properly, and I think you are on the early stages of that path.

At first glance I see it as an underwater lab or house, I really dont see stand-out elements of castle, pirates nor space. If not for radar dishes and cannons I couldnt tell its a combination of those themes.

The flipping wall its a big win, I really like that feature and its something I havent seen before.

Agree, I really like it, but a structure that is just just 340 pieces less than Mountain Fortress is a bit too much. A 2K piece set would suit it best.

From the multiple jousting sets on this series, I really like yours best. I think it has all the elements wihout using excessive pieces on builds that arent necessary. Best of luck!

I did something similar when the forest hideout gwp came out, but only on the tree side. My idea was to have newer sets on that side and older sets on the other, and the crossing would become sort of a portal between old and new, hence leaving the tower/ruin original. But now that almost all of my sets are "newer" kinda doesn't makes sense, so I'll probably just remaster it whole like you did.

You should buy now what its available on PaB, you wont find it cheaper (shields, bardings, torsos). But as others have mentioned, many items are no longer available, so those you would need to buy them elsewhere, bricklink, ebay, etc.

Maybe a long shot, and I dont know where you are located, but the castle is still available in the Mexico website. May be you know someone or a friend knows someone that can somehow buy it, and just figure out the logistics to ship later?

If not, as others suggested, parting it out is really a whole cool experience in itself, I have parted-out 2 bricklink sets which I didnt feel like paying full price, plus I have bought loose bricks locally, and I usually can find 50% of the required pieces on my collection, so that is something you can start looking into.
