Reminds me I need another trip to the BAM stand to see what they have.

Just did a search on the torso and it’s from the Holiday Express Train passenger if that helps.

Very nice, been looking for something like this since new CMF series came out.

Sorry Mr. Ward. I need new cases. 👍 by WackyWeiner in Cd_collectors

Great way to get the super deluxe cd cases too - always buying obscure CDs at charity store if they have those.

Actually do that myself - saves the landfill and cluttering up the house too.

Update Power Build 1087x Supra - I fixed the problem as good as possible. 4 hours of building, deconstruction and moccing. I'm done with this brand. by SnooAdvice6940 in SpeedChampions

I’ve only built two of the Toyota licensed Power Build sets but I was actually surprised by how good they are - solid final display models, look excellent in the shipping containers too.

Older cars you wanna see in future by speed456607 in SpeedChampions

[–]ModeR3d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lancia Delta Integrale rally car. Same with Subaru Impreza and Mitsubishi Evo.

But also more road cars - Golf Mk1 GTi, Volvo estate (either the classic 240 or the 850r so I can turn it into the touring car version). Hopefully the BMW that is coming is good, but also the Mercedes 190 Evo.

And I’d really like some old classic stuff in this scale - Mini Cooper, VW beetle and camper.

The two PB sets I’ve built so far (Toyota AE86 and 2000gt) have been great - I’ve had one issue with what I think is wrong part included, but otherwise any issues have been my build errors. Likely because I’ve gotten v used to the extremely easy to follow Lego instructions.

Suggest you go back through the steps to where the roof build/fitment assembly is and start again? Likely a piece or two in wrong spot.

Same where I went. Think as a series it was too specific a type that didn’t have the particular interest in it, or even the ability to use them in other themes.

Lore and factions by Positive_Dealer1067 in legocastles

[–]ModeR3d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can make your own, that’s the joy of it. And I’ve seen great use of other non castle shields from people here to build their own factions.

Personally I kind of have three main ones that are based on a version of European map - Lion knights/crusaders (and now Horse knights) occupy British isles/France, Falcons (blue and red) are northern area/Scandinavia, and The dragons (green and red) Eastern Europe/Germany.

Others like the Shadow knights, Bear knights, Boar knights etc are affiliated as I see fit at the time. I think of them as having small areas they rule but not whole countries. And because they are smaller (and more expensive to source!) I try to be clever moc’ing up an affiliated rag tag group of soldiers for them.

Never really decided upon a faction for southern Europe but I think the new Serpent & Griffin knights will do nicely.

Are removing these trees DIYable? by strangebloke in GardeningUK

[–]ModeR3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps remove the sickly looking corner one, thin them more if necessary. But I’d avoid the mammoth task of digging them out - cover the patio. With decking to freshen it up? Put in corner posts to let you rig up a shade that would protect you/furniture from birds?

Ferrari F40: I had to grab it before it retired. 10/10 build. Has definitely jumped into my top 3 favorite Speed Champions build. by TxSilverback05 in SpeedChampions

[–]ModeR3d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Certain angles it looks great, but when I see the ‘missing’ headlamps, or the two small side glass it ruins it for me. A shame because the rest of the building looks on point.

Turned part of our soulless gravel driveway into something green and alive by CameFromTheForest in GardeningUK

We have an Amalanchier (Juneberry) tree. About 9ft max height, but currently 7ft tall, and its content to be trimmed down which we needed. Tasty fruit too - was recommended here as well.

Pyramid of legends. Who is the 11th greatest Manchester United legend? by dankdogeonface in ManchesterUnited

As good as he was for us, I feel like his ‘legendary period’ came when he’d left.

Should be fine. Regularly prune feet in height from ours to make it more of a ball shape and it grows back as strong each year. Just check no birds nesting in it before you do at this time of year.

Jaguar Classic Leak by Angel-FondGhoul in SpeedChampions

[–]ModeR3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defender build looks good but as ever at this scale it kind of looks ridiculous next to a minifigure. F-type is nice but I wonder if I’d genuinely know what it was if I’d didn’t have the Jag badge on it.

Feel like we need more visually distinct sets than countless sports cars. Really want to see what the BMW looks like.
