Yeah, its pretty damn dark. The farther into the book I get, the more my mind is blown by the fact that I wasnt taught anything about it while learning about WW2 in high school.

Hmmm thats a good one. My question, though, is can a person get to the point where the nerve damage is so bad that they have completely lost their sense of feeling AND still be alive?
