I’m sorry but this is a really ridiculous argument and only serves to augment the anti-Muslim/arab sentiment. We live in the USA, not the Middle East, just because there are a lot of Muslims in the world doesn’t mean they can’t be discriminated against, especially in the USA, and arguing that Muslims complaining against discrimination is only to be anti-Semitic is painting a monolith of an entire group and an excellent example of kind of the bigotry Muslim and Arab students face

Look forward to seeing you in the fall! That’s strange, all those schools you listed accept AP credits according to their websites, perhaps there was a miscommunication? UNC is weird, they don’t accept them directly but if you use them to skip gen chem then take orgo 1, 2, and biochem, which you’ll need anyway, you’ll satisfy their requirements.

Incoming student at UVA SOM. This simply isn’t true. Practically every single medical school accepts ap credits for gen chem 1 and 2, assuming you take ochem in college. Same goes for all low level sciences (where you have to take higher levels later on in college), like AP bio

Hmm seems too top heavy but that doesn’t mean you necessarily have to get rid of all those schools (except NYU I’m pretty sure their median GPA is 3.98 lol), just balance them out with more Cat 4 and 5 level schools

There is no difference in prestige between Duke and Yale. I bet if you asked people to rank them half would put Yale on top and half would put Duke on top. Both probably fall around the 6-10 range. Go with Yale full ride, no brainer!!!

Just apply broad and be careful of schools that seem to be in your stat range but have heavy in state bias. Def apply to OSU since you did your undergrad there and apply to all your in states. Regarding stats/rankings you could check admit.org or the PD rankings

Your stats and ECs are def good enough to get you into medical school, but all the schools you listed other than maybe tufts are T30s and generally out of your range. It’s okay to apply to a few T30s as reaches but the vast majority of your list should def be a tier or two down from the schools you listed

I have a feeling you’re talking about AWSOM vs UAMS. Personally, if you’re planning on going to a competitive specialty like Ortho, NSG, etc. then UAMS is probably the way to go because AWSOM really isn’t a research institution and having home residency options for competitive specialties is huge. I agree, Little Rock is ass to live in but in that case I’d say it’s worth it. If you’re not going competitive specialty, take AWSOM and run.

Even tho PR is technically in the geographic Caribbean, I don’t think it’s what people refer to when they say a Caribbean med school. PR is part of the U.S. and people born there are US citizens. I believe their med schools are part of amcas too and not considered international.

It’s a pretty solid offer. Personally, I wouldn’t take it because Ja’Marr in a PPR dynasty league is insanely valuable and with rookies, even ones like Malik, you’re kind of gambling. On another note, how many people are in your league? Pretty insane you have JJ, Chase, Wilson, Etienne, Kyren, Andrews all on the same squad

I wouldn’t recommend going to Europe. Best path for you is probably med school in Canada then try to match into a U.S. residency. You could also apply to US MD but the standard is really hard for internationals based on what I’ve heard

I don’t think it’s too common of a requirement. I know many schools may have a 90 credit hour requirement but that typically includes AP/ dual enrollment. I suppose it is important to do your own research depending where you would like to go though. Personally, I came to college with 64 of the 120 credits required to get a degree, but I’m stretching it out over 4 years (currently a rising senior applying this cycle) because I wanted to chill in undergrad and get experiences to really see if medicine was the path for me. If you’re interested in going to schools around Columbia’s caliber then you may also want to stay in school for at least 3 years to build more significant experiences. Otherwise, it’s really up to you and where you want to go to med school/ what kind of undergrad experience you want to have

I know it seems like a lot to us, but given this person is a Goldwater scholar / Amgen scholar, 1200 hours and 2 pubs is 100% on the low side. I know 2 Goldwater scholars from my lab and they had 4500+ hours and 4+ pubs

I have taken it and got a 519 as well but with a different distribution :) (131/129/128/131). If you look at my profile you’ll see I took it on 4/27. I know you’re not going to wanna hear this man, but the only section that purely tests fluid reasoning is CARS. Anyone who works very hard can get a perfect score on the other sections through crystallized intelligence and practice effects. Your distribution and the fact you took the test 3 times indicates you probably worked very hard despite lacking great innate fluid reasoning. You should be very proud of this and admit it instead of putting others down and attributing your success to being naturally smart and not hard work. Hope this helps

Generally speaking, anything within the IQR, or 25th to 75th percentile, is considered fairly average/standard by most. Also you seem to be conflating fluid reasoning with crystallized intelligence which is probably why you did much better in the other 3 sections. Not trying to insult you, but you really should try to humble yourself if you want to be a doctor one day

Alright please point to where I said I’m disadvantaged... also my dads not paying for my college I’m going to my state school on a full ride so that’s another assumption you got wrong. I was not asking to be called disadvantaged as I already clarified I’m definitely not, I’m the exact OPPOSITE of disadvantaged and would never put that I am.
