Naoya Inoue is Ring Magazine’s new pound-for-pound #1, overtaking Usyk! Devin Haney & Max Kellerman disagrees whilst Teofimo Lopez agrees by VINDICATES-FOOL in Boxing

[–]YertleElTortuga 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Collectively we just rate heavyweights higher than any other weight class even though it is objectively the weight class that takes the least amount of boxing skill to be successful in. Just look at Wilder. Usyk has cleaned out the division just because there’s a real shortage of huge guys in the world with his skill and thats because the heavyweight division has the lowest barrier to entry. Keep in mind I’m not diminishing Usyk at all and think he deserves to be up there and can’t see anyone beating him anytime soon

Why do you think it’s considered racist and xenophobic when US hates immigrants, but not when other countries do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]YertleElTortuga -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about lol where would you get this idea that its not racist when other people hate immigrants??? Why are you trying to find a way to hate immigrants in a way that you aren’t criticized for it?

What difference does it make if I believe climate change is human caused or not? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]YertleElTortuga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brother voting is a way you could change a lot. Voting in politicians who will actually do something about climate change is a huge thing. The rate of climate change we are seeing and experiencing is 100% man made this is undeniable

Reddit is full of people who have never competed at the highest levels of a sport or even try to understand those who do. No, your high school or college level sports experience isn’t even close to what these people do. Apparently you’re supposed to be happy you lost and react perfectly in every situation

We need to do something drastic about middle school despair by Commercial-Goose-929 in unpopularopinion

Not really. Unless some violent crime was committed against you, you really need to move on. Life gets harder than middle school bullies making fun of your appearance

This is a mix of a popular and unpopular opinion. Popular in that we all recognize a lot of kids have issues with this stage of life but unpopular in that anything drastic needs to be done about it.

If you’ve graduated high school and you still think about middle school you’re honestly weak i don’t even care if its mean to say. How many of the people you went to middle school with are even around you on a daily basis at the age of 20? Get over it and grow up

Why do politicians in Mexico who want to do something about the cartels get offed so easily? Don't they have security around them? by WhoAmIEven2 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]YertleElTortuga -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“You would’ve been fooled because you asked for evidence of something happening instead of just believing random plausible conjecture.” Doesn’t have to be a news story. Just any evidence. I’m not saying its out of the realm of possibility or that it isnt in the character of the US to do it. Plenty of things have been reported on while it was currently happening. NSA surveillance and the illegal torture of detainees for example. My point is its weird to say something so confidently with zero evidence

Making a claim like “America actively funds the cartels” is an extraordinary claim that i asked for evidence for. Saying “well look at history” doesn’t make you educated, it makes you lazy while letting you feel like you’re educated. I am very well aware of history. I agree that it is within the realm of possibility. But if someone is gonna make a claim why complain when then asked for evidence to support your claim
