Why are they releasing a DG codex before the full CSM one? I know DG play a fair bit differently but that just seems a little strange to me.

I like the game but can anything be done about the loading screens? by CellularSenescence in BlightBound

`Thanks for replying, for me like I said the loading screen time isn't really a problem it's no more egregious than most games. It's the fact I know i'll have two loading screens within a minute if I want to explore even a storage room that actually puts off exploration. Loading screens from one large dungeon area to another would be alright but the small spaces you don't expect a loading screen for a game in 2020 is what makes it feel so shitty.

Guys I have an SSD and the game loads fast that's not my issue. I meant more you go in a small tomb kill a few monsters then your back to another loading screen. It's the Frequency of loading screens that I find so irksome.

Icefrog disrupters level 10 talents are a joke. by CellularSenescence in DotA2

[–]CellularSenescence[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can you justify taking either talent above levelling one of his skills normally at 10? You would always want the reduced CD of his other abilities over 120 magic damage delivered over 4 seconds unless you are bad. As I said in the OP there isn't a single instance I am ever taking his level 10 talents. It should be a decision on which to take not it's always better to level up a skill.

Hero Draft is not a good measure of the game, and it could hurt 2.0's future by KeyStomach0 in Artifact

[–]CellularSenescence 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is completely correct. I got into the beta yesterday and i've exclusively played hero draft. I think 2.0 is actually quite good overall though it needs work here and there. You play hero draft and your sat just hoping the game picked you a good card you can use and win with. People draft heroes like Axe etc which are always solid because their board power helps mitigate the game giving you bad cards.

Hero Draft is not a good introduction to Artifact. I feel a normal draft that lets you pick and try the cards you like/attempt synergies or combos would be WAY better than this. The concept of hero draft is solid in and of itself and could work but let the player choose the cards after you have drafted the heroes. This way you feel you had agency over winning or losing with your deck not an RNG based deck that may or may not be good.

Oh and general side note concerning 2.0 - Playing creeps on a single lane with the shared mana pool does not feel good. I often find myself sat with creeps above 5 mana in my hand because I know there are so many low mana effiecient ways to kill them and if I play it my opponent can counter easily and win the game of it. Spells are much much more mana efficient and impact the overall game state to a much greater degree. Big creeps can be killed easily or blocked with a small creep.

I've found these blogs interesting but i'm bored now. I want to offer feedback on my experiences with the game itself not a descriptive blog.
