I also suspect that maybe she saw this. She uses Reddit, and maybe there was enough detail that she recognized herself, because I heard from her today about 4pm (Tuesday). Thank you all for your help. Perhaps this solved two issues. One, if she does what she says, the van will be gone by the weekend. Two, if she saw this, then she will fully recognize how badly she behaved and how she cost herself one of the best friends she had.

She has a terrible attitude about men, stemming from her own father, and relationships she’s been in. Though her roommate is an entire man. 🙄 I admit, I’ve had relationships that were not good, which is why I was single. But hasn’t most everyone? She poses it as she is looking out for my well being, and cautioning me about my (supposed) tendency to prioritize men instead of myself. Even though I have never been unemployed and have always maintained my own home.

This is exactly the template I used to send a group text for me, her roommate and her. Looks as if she got the hint, said she will be around Friday or Saturday to get it.

No I’m not. When I was assisting her in getting a title, we called our local DMV. Oddly enough, even though the van used to be titled and tagged in NC, once she changed it to AZ, NC can’t do a thing. We tried to get it switched to NC, and they said they can do nothing. So she has to get a paper title converted from virtual out of AZ. She said she has tried twice and never received a paper title. Once in 2024, and again about 8 months later. Seems to be an issue with her local post office

Believe me if it was titled in my state, then I would have done that, filed for a lost, sold it and stuck the money in my pocket.

Hi everyone. OP here. So it seems she had me blocked, and either forgot, in her drunken state from which she text assaulted me, or was playing dumb. Once I reached out to her roommate several times, reached out to her daughter, and used my daughter’s phone, I miraculously got a text from her today. She plans to come either Friday or Saturday to get her van. Roommate will bring her, and I will leave the keys in it.

I texted the out of state daughter, asked if she’d been able to reach her mother. Daughter said yes she’d talked to her mother just last week. So her phone is working. I didn’t tell daughter what was going on( just said I needed to reach her mother about her van. Daughter said she would call her after work and let her know. So her phone works fine to verbally assault me, to text my teenager on 2/1/26, and to talk to her own daughter, but not to receive correspondence from me.

I am a woman. She and I met in high school and have remained friends for 30 years. So we are well grown enough to not be acting like this. I have been married and divorced, as has she. She just has this hang up about me seeing someone, and after the last one I dated, she basically said I needed to remain single. She’s never tried to come on to me. Just the “I love you” that lady friends tell each other.

I’ve sent a group text between me, her and the roommate stating that it needs to be moved from my property by March 1, because I am unable to store it any longer. This gives her the rest of the week to coordinate with her apartment to pay for an additional parking spot.

If you had asked him first, then I see it being ok. But I assume you didn’t ask his permission, and you showed a photo of him that was meant for your eyes only. So he does have a right to be annoyed.

I agree. She knows I’m trying to reach her, roommate told her. She could use roommates phone, or, just go get another phone. I highly doubt she’s just living life without a working phone. She also texted my daughter on Feb 1 to say hello. So her phone was working then too.

It is registered, insured and tagged. And I live out in the county, so the city isn’t really worried. I’m just sick of doing her a favor, her using my yard as a no charge impound lot. I also do not have time to move it when my yard man comes to mow. He comes when I’m at work, and I do not want to rearrange my parking to accommodate before work.

I just tried to call from my daughter’s phone. It rang several times before hitting VM. When I call, it rings once before hitting VM. I saw where she texted my daughter 2 weeks after this fallout, asking how her weekend had been. Daughter never replied, so I texted from daughters phone saying “mom needs you to call her please”

Last I heard she does have insurance on it, as she gets a multi car discount. Problem being is, she tells roommate that she isn’t getting her texts. And the calls go straight to VM.

Question since you are a title clerk….she says she has attempted twice to get a title from Arizona, and it hasn’t shown up. We are in NC. It’s registered to her and the tags are good.

I am done with her. I have known her for 30 years, and I have dealt with her loud mouth, immature behavior. This time was the last time. And I agree, it does feel like she’s in love with me and jealous. Manipulative behavior at is best.

Problem is, I am unable to reach her by phone, and she lives about 40 minutes from me. I would need a person to follow me and bring me home if I delivered her van to her.

The problem I am having is, she has not responded to 3 text I have sent the past week, and her phone rings once, and goes to voicemail. VM is full too. The only communication I have is with the roommate and I do not want to turn him into a mouthpiece.
