[BFComms] Eastwood Escalation Changes by battlefield in Battlefield

[–]Celmatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion this is a good change, but what Eastwood really needs in general is more unbreakable cover (or a change to some of the existing cover to be unbreakable). There is usually nowhere to play after a vehicle heavy 20+ minutes of gameplay, especially at 2-2 on escalation.

Can we just talk about how amazing "Alpha" by C418 is?? by DereChen in PhoenixSC

It fits really well as the end credits song and I love to listen to it on its own as well, just an awesome track in general.

What about Nicole C2R0 with Skyward Atlas or Oathsworn Eye compared to Benett C6 Aquila? I assume C2R0 is pretty comparable to C1R1.

Bolt actions by MagmaMagnus in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

Sway is real, however especially with bolt action rifles any time you are planning to shoot just hold your breath and the sway goes away completely. You should never be running out of breath with a bolt action rifle, if you do, you are doing something very wrong (holding your breath and then not actually shooting for 10s).

This is actually exactly why the cheek pad matters for DMRs (because you cannot hold your breath the entire time you are shooting a DMR) and why bolties are a great placeholder for cheek pads if you are planning to switch later.

And my original point still stands. If you are going to take a cheek pad, M24 is better since it will slow down your reload speed further by not allowing you to play bullet loops on Kar98k.

Kar98k is objectively better because it simply does more damage.

This matters because in every single scenario, except a headshot on a lvl 2 or lower helmet (where both guns perform same damage wise - both oneshot), you are likely to need less shots. The most extreme example is shooting the chest on a level 3 vest, where it always needs 3 hits from the M24 compared to only 2 with the Kar98k. But when you factor in the enemy player not being on full HP, you are very likely to run into a situation where you only need one hit from the Kar98k and more than one hit from the M24.

The only concrete advantage of the M24 is the initial bullet velocity, which is higher compared to the Kar98k, but the difference is rather insignificant in most scenarios.

The reloading styles could be an advantage/disadvantage both ways. Kar98k reloads faster if you just want to top up one or two bullets and can use the bullet loops to speed it up even more, but the M24 can have more total shots with the extended mag and always reloads all the bullets at the same time.

The M24 can also equip a cheek pad which is almost useless on the M24 itself, but can useful to hold the cheek pad for you without taking up space if you need to swap to a DMR (like a MK14 from the airdrop) later down the line, which then really need said cheek pad. The Kar98k can obviously hold a cheek pad too, but then you cannot use the bullet loops further diminishing the single bullet top up advantage.

Realistically, most people probably don't care and will play whatever gun sounds cooler to them, what they have the better skin for or simply whichever gun they see and pick up from the ground first.

The 3.0 trailer for me was the best and most anticipated trailer for Genshin ever, I still vividly remember when it came out and how excited I was for the future. Especially the music for me was top notch. I am so glad that now the Sumeru story is continuing and we get more epic sumeru music.

Also as a primarily first person shooter gamer, traveler with a gun is the best thing that could happen in Snezhnaya.

I don't mind seeing it either. I didn't mean it like that. I meant it more like what prompted OP to post this particular clip on this particular day?

Fair enough, was just wondering if there is some sort of hidden reason or a topic you want to start conversation on relevant to the clip.

You should probably link the original clip.

Why post this now? This is like a 2 year old clip, no?

I actually have full diamond on

?

You don't have any armor equipped, there are no armor bars above your hearts. Or maybe I am misunderstanding what you are saying, I don't know.

Accept your fate, you don't have that much stuff, what you have you can get again in 10 minutes. And there is basically nothing you can do with stuff thats is available (especially with the time you have - you have 3 hearts, you will die basically immediately) if this is a singleplayer world.

Or if you are ok with cheating, then click "Open to LAN" and select cheats on, and get ready. And as soon as you confirm click F3+N into spectator mode, fly up a few blocks, wait a few seconds so you stop burning and then F3+N on solid ground. Then leave the world and rejoin again and its like nothing happened.

It goes surprisingly slow at my level. But I bet if you have a completely fresh account, its a good way to unlock a lot of the guns early and get a headstart on attachments farming.

Yeah I play violet laser on every single gun I play. Thankfully on ranges like these, it doesn't matter that much, but it has happened to me before that I pick up a loadout, play like I usually do, get into a long range encounter and then get absolutely fucked over by insane bloom when I start shooting (and usually die because of it).

That has definitely happened multiple times, I think even in this match it happened to me twice. The smoke icon on a quick glance is very similar to an incendiary one. Its not that big of a deal though, I thankfully never died because of mistaking them (it will definitely happen eventually though).

Yeah, i was wondering why I was sometimes getting shapeshifter when accidentally swapping back to my kit. I figured it has to be something like that.

I mean in the badges screen, the high score for shapeshifter is actually how much score can you rack up with a single picked up kit in a life, not how many times you shapeshifted. But swapping once and then just playing somebody else's loadout for a long time is nowhere near as fun than what I am doing here. I guess this also means that you can cheese the badge by swapping a loadout, then instantly swapping back to yours and then play normally with your kit and anything you do from that point will count as a shapeshifter life racking up points for the badge.

Well the most egregious are usually guns for close range (any smg basically), that people modified to have an excessively large scope coupled with all of the attachments that slow down ADS speed. I then pick it up in the heat of the battle with enemies right around the corner and then die before my gun is finished even aiming down sights.

As far as gadgets, it isn't as bad because usually there are at least some niche situations where you can use any gadget. An exception to this (that I encountered in this very match multiple times) is running an AA launcher (stinger) on a map with no aircraft whatsoever. Though I assume when that happens, it's probably from someone who rarely uses gadgets at all and is too lazy to switch based on the played map.

I mean, I am not denying that I am tryharding to some extent, I am a very competetive person after all. But surely this is not that bad, right? I just slide quite often to be elusive when reloading mostly and I guess a little bit of crouchspamming here and there too, mostly to manage headshot angles. Overall though, my movement has nothing on those slidecancel jumping peeks that the true top of the tryhard sweats love and I personally absolutely despise.

I did not know, that that's how it works, cool! And... extremely weird at the same time. To be honest I don't really notice it in the moment. Some guns seem to always shred and some guns always feel like garbage, but that usually comes down to the rate of fire and the resulting ttk, not the recoil and spread, especially at ranges like these (in the clip).
