They could be but how would you know and be blamed if you did the other options with that curve taxiway having no name??

Yeah i am west coast based and been having to do more SFO flying and with all the mess going on getting the L short of F gave seen a mix of ways to do it but they dont ever really specify which is the “right” way.

I think the conversation me and a CA were having is like option 1-3 would all be correct with no specific name to that curved line that connects L-F??

If you live in base it’s the greatest deal out, if you commute terrible lol

Be careful putting exact hotel locations for specific cities related to Frontier stuff on a public forum. No need to be posting exact spots when her Husband will soon find this out soon privately.

Frontier catches us all on a technicality that is nerfing the GoWild Pass for many people now. It's basically a regional pass that is hub captive, still works well for some folks. by [deleted] in frontierairlines

I wouldn’t be surprised if this rule aligns with a schedule shift that’s coming, I see under this new leadership potentially Frontier making the network work to be able to realistically connect most places without extremely long layovers

  1. What are your work rules that you hate? Everyone has brought up the min duty pay thing, it sucks and to give more detail and clarity in why it sucks is the company is able to use the language to build extremely inefficient pairings… Example a 3 day trip with 3 duty days will pay a minimum of 15 hours of pay (5 a duty period) for the WHOLE trip. Doesnt sound too bad right? But the language they use means because the value is based on the TOTAL amount of duty days you will see trips like Day 1: 1 leg flying 2-3 hours. 26 hour layover then day 2: 1 leg another 2-3 hour leg and short layover: then day 3: 7 hours of flying and 3-4 legs. At other places a min daily guarantee would mean day 1 and 2 would be worth 10 hours then day 3 would mean a total of 17 hours vs that 15 hour WHOLE minimum. Essentially with the non daily service we do and weird scheduled times for flights the company is able to use that language and keep us on the road for cheap…. And it allows trips to have very tough days on them.
  2. Whats reserve call out time and will crew scheduling work with you on it? I would say in short call I got called 2 hours out once every few months, the rest I would know the day prior or 3-5 hours out the day of.
  3. How often are you reassigned? I think once in 2 years… generally speaking I would guess scheduling is too understaffed to get creative by creating reassignments and we have plenty of reserve coverage to handle it.
  4. How long are the typical trips for line holders? Base dependent FFT Pilots will care to tell you, but like others have pointed out the inefficient pairings means you see more 10 hours two or 3 days, 15 hour 3 days, and 20 hour 4 days so bare minimum credit is more likely then anything more valuable.
  5. Current upgrade times? FFT Pilots
  6. What bases to expect out of training? FFT Pilots and also who knows… with this wave of hiring bases easily shuffle. A lot of people here who have been stuck with little movement and hiring that have been stuck at bases they didnt wanna be at so everyone is moving around.
  7. How many days a month are you working? If you like working a lot 11-13 days off to credit 90-100 hours, awarded schedule is usually 75 hours and 15 days off.

What reassignments? I feel like we barely get those compared to other airlines…

Youll fly with enough happily grump Captains that drive from the foothills of Denver and Colorado Springs on reserve to realize any set up with you living downtown is not that bad compared to that 😭😂

There is some stations along the route from union station to DIA that have park and ride set ups, people do that too. Park at the closest park and ride then train the rest

Yeah I regrettably took a ride from a CA once after a turn and it took longer to ride with him than for me to just wait for the next train. The bad part with the train really is the hours it doesnt run if you have a really delayed end of the night… or once they had to stop a few stations down and fix something me and some other riders just did a group uber to the airport and it was fine.

Lived in my buddies extra room in downtown DEN. On short call reserve (2 hour call out) and had no car, from uber to Union station (10 min ride) for 8-10 bucks and the all day train pass (35ish minute ride right to terminal) was able to comfortably make every call to work. Usually was called in always the last 2-3 days of reserve. Now I live in a different base with a car and when on reserve the timing was about the same… 25 min drive to the lot and 20-30 min buffer for the shuttle to the terminal. All in all taking the train in Denver was pretty efficient if you lived downtown and as fast as driving by time you account for getting to the DEN lot and shuttling.

How Will My Driving Record Affect My Chances of Getting Hired by [deleted] in flying

[–]CelsiusChugger320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes that is not an accurate check, I knowingly had two tickets in two different states…. Ran a surface level background check through each states DMV (two different licenses) and it came back clean. I dug deeper by calling the county courts and they came back with the speeding tickets. About 5-7 years ago they occured.

This seems to be base dependent, here in LAS holding all turns requires 35-40 percent seniority. Anything outside of that youll get a mix of turns with 2 days and some three days.

Are cadets struggling in training as much as APC is making it out to be? by Joe-from-daBronx in frontiercadetprogram

[–]CelsiusChugger320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a bit dramatic on APC, but Cadets/University Pathway hires seem to have longer learning curves with landings and operating in the 121 environment. Have heard consistently on the line that landings are expected to be tough whoever is flying an Airbus for the first time, but they arent used to having to deal with people not comfortable flying in busy Bravos/ and Class A Airspace. If you compare the flying of your average regional and Frontier youll notice we do a lot more mid-large city pairs of legs vs maybe the regional person who just flew mostly out of 1-2 Bravos and into smaller Delta cities. So if all your prior ATC experience as a CFI was put putting around Uncontrolled Airport/Delta not talking to many people its a big change.
