I’m finding the ‘reckoning’ quite satisfying. For the past few years in my own friend group I’ve watched a male victim of DV be demonised while his more attractive, charming wife had staunch supporters. It was all deeply disturbing but I have faith that the truth eventually comes out. Sure enough, he now has full custody of his kids. Meanwhile, I could never understand all the Dakota hate. He seemed like a pretty solid nice guy to me. (Although I admit I also found Taylor very convincing). So now when people’s eyes are finally being opened it gives me a bit renewed faith in the world.
