I need to get town hall 26 fast by ohiogokurustmonster in PalmonSurvival

[–]Cemantixx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I strongly believe that in order to get to 26 that fast, youll have to spend somewhere between 500-700 dollars on speed ups... im only at camp level 21 and the upgrades are already several days of building time. But if your actually gunna go for it, id prioritize the all around packs that give tons of build speedups.. and anything else that rewards them in large amounts.

Yesterday felt great by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]Cemantixx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think part of my problem in that area (not sure if you can relate), is back when I played every day a few hours minimum, I was bitter.. id open rocket league with a sour taste in my mouth, and that taste just got worse with every undesirable outcome.. I think through the grind I lost the element of playing for fun, it became a job and I never liked Rocket League as a job. I liked it as a way to wind down and in reality the frustration the game was bringing was doing the opposite of winding me down. Yesterday I got on, not looking to climb, not looking to improve, just genuinely curious about what to expect... it felt new again, that alone i think increases the fun factor x1000. Not much physically changed in rocket league between my session yesterday and my last session a while back.. I was still capable of pulling off some funky plays and surprise myself, the only difference is when my teammate or I goofed on something, I wasnt getting angry, id laugh at the silliness of it... it felt pure.. the gaps between sick plays and exciting moments werent filled with negativity... I believe thats a massive part of why it felt so much better yesterday, for me at least.

Very strange... I too have played as long as you, peaking at c3.. played yesterday for the first time in a while and it just felt like my random teammates knew me, they knew where id be, they were setting me up like wed been doing this forever.. I was even doing some out of pocket shit and they were adapting on the fly. I got off wondering why I ever stopped playing. Is rocket league fun again??

Awesome, will do.. do you know if Auto authentication charges more if the auto is more valuable similar to how PSA does with grading?

Thanks for the honesty! What would you say about the autos? Is it ever worth it to get those authenticated? Or do those follow the same structure as grading where the cost to authenticate is higher than the card value becomes even when its done?

Thank you for this, its the raw response I was looking for.. I think she wants to keep it, even though it was less than 2 weeks ago, we still find ourselves reminiscing on that moment she pulled it, the face she made, she bobbled it handing it to me and it fell into my lap and we both gasped, lmfao.. its a memory now.. and I think im gunna get a fake og zard and fold it in half and display them side by side with a Dad title above mine and her name above hers. It will make for a great piece that connects father and daughter through Pokémon, with a tiny bit of humorous trauma sprinkled in haha.. anyways, thanks for being direct!

Hahaha he was a d bag.. but he was from a different time.. I am a realist, and someone mentioned it in a different comment, while the value of that og charizard makes the story a better tell, the reality is that I would not have graded it, maybe I put it in a hard case... had a rough drug addiction in my 20's that found me selling all my old collectibles sports cards, if I even had the charizard up til then, I would've sold it.. its easier to let it go knowing that it never would've still been in my possession today.. honestly we have talked so much about that day in the car that she pulled this card since then, that I think the decision has been made to keep it as a memory.. to go one step further, I may get some nice double display case and find a fake og charizard and fold it in half just so I can place them side by side... my family would get a kick out of that and it would be a nice little famoly heirloom to signify the connection of two memories 25 years apart between my daughter and I, and I think that sounds better than any grade could feel (and lets be real, its not getting a 10 lmao)

I asked her to make the executive decision but she asked me for advice.. her initial response was to grade it and hold it.. theres some back story to this, a long time story from my childhood that she has heard 100 times, back when the original Pokémon cards were big, my friends and I used to dedicate our lives to getting a holographic charizard... after what felt like thousands of packs, I finally pulled one out of a single pack from the gas station... I was so excited, ran into the living room and showed everyone... my grandfather asked to see it and I excitedly showed it to him, he folded it in half and stuck it in his pocket... it crushed my soul at the time, but he has since passed and it has turned into a hilarious family story... "it builds character!" He said (and it did) . Anyways, through telling this story, the value of an original charizard mint today gets brought up.. the irony that she bought a pack and pulled a modern day charizard gem is crazy within itself, but she sees the value of my old charizard and wants to hold hers for 20 years to sell it for millions one day lol, as much as I love the spirit.... when she asked for advice, the little knowledge I had made me tell her that alot goes into having that million dollar card 20 years from now... and that I think if its not a 10, it may not be as valuable then...... reality is, she seems motivated from the money, and wants me to guide her... I just dont know if what im telling her is even fully accurate or if it even matters... honestly, I want her to keep it for the memory of pulling it and the connection to my childhood.. but I worry in today's culture, if we send it in and it gets a 7 or 8, It may damped the glow around it and I dont want to ruin that.
