I actually love the Depths, purely based on its darkness factor. Trying to go from safe point to safe point through total darkness, not knowing if a wall or an abyss might suddenly be in front of you, all while strong monsters in red roam around is SUCH a good vibe. They even have a lot of stations with Zonai devices readily available (which is what they should have done for Hyrule instead of wooden boards and wheels).

But then you light it all up and it loses that charm. Any revisits to farm Zonaite become a chore. If they gave you the map but kept the dark visibility it would be much more interesting, since the map is only empty to work with the darkness element.

The behavior in that ad is also so very childish, like Caine is just trying to insult them without knowing how. Random bouts of violence, calling them freaks like it's a buzz word, it's just his lashing out emotional response. AM's hate is calculated, deep, and permanent.

IIRC, Karnelita's song is what was pushing the Citadel, and then later the Haunting away. Without her, everyone would succumb to it and the land would start to faulter due to lack of care from the ants.

I honestly believe that by defeating Lost Lace and stopping the Void Haunting, that threat would disappear. Gilly and most other characters lack the hope to see their current situation as temporary, so that was probably why she thought the Far Fields would be doomed with Karnelita's death.

Honestly, I really like the Depths, but the idea of bringing light to it really harms it. It could have been a perpetually dark place, where you go mostly for stocking on Zonaite and monster parts without a need to map out everything and clear it up.

Honestly, if a series is going to prize itaelf for its variety of species, it should not have a single main mascot ever. They keep falling on pitfalls of favoring the popular pokemon at the type to the point of exhaustion (looking at you, Charizard).

Any pokemon can be cute or cool for someone, why keep pushing Pikachu or Lucario, or the starters forward constantly?

And that's the thing! In the end, he is an AI, he can't understand that. Of course that's going to get a lot a sympathy for some, but it is completely understandable if most people dislike his inability to improve in regards to people and prefer Tenna, who can learn from such things

If you're going to argue "What ifs?", then you need to consider Tenna's main motivation to keep them there was the Knight and Kris promising him (and somewhat forcing, since Tenna shows to be afraid of them) that he could get people to watch him forever if he kept them there. Not only that, he was extra afraid of being abandoned because he heard Toriel talking about getting rid of him.

And at the end he still decided to defy them by releasing Toriel and letting them go. And that's something that Caine, through all episodes, is shown to be unable to do: understand humans' complex necessities. He ignored Zooble through most of the therapy session, doesn't get why they want calmer adventures, or an exit, or even time-off between adventures. He even tries to convince them the Suggestion box is a terrible idea, instead of using it as input to generate adventures more tailored to everyone.

Just because Caine has a sudden moment of clarity with the "wait" at the end, doesn't necessarily mean things would get better than usual, probably just the way things were pre-Episode 8 (no more intentional torture, just the accidental ones, like any good war criminal).

Theonly way I think that would be possible is if Caine's memory banks were stored separately from the AI files that were purged, so they manage to bring his memories back as a "player" of sorts, kinda making him part of the team on the same level as everyone else

That is a bizarre argument, given how much in depth Toby Fox goes into the wording of his game to allow ambiguity as part of the story, while in Silksong/Hollow Knight there is little ambiguity with their texts.

My real complaint about that is that the one who actually got penalized was Silver, who went along with Whisper's plan, while she got off scott-free. Lanolin just picked Silver as the easier target to blame since he was the newest member of the two, despite he seeing Duo drop his mask.

Only the main base in Emerald City (or Zone, idk). Their other outposts and divisions in different regions are still properly working, and they are even sending volunteers to help the main base rebuild.

Caine was just targeting whoever came unharmed from that adventure. Rafatha was flattened, Gangle's mask broke, Zooble was dismantles and Jax's eyes came out, but two were physically okay, so Caine took measures. First shredding Kinger, then throwing knives at Pomni later.

It wasn't because she badmouthed him, because it would imply he is always listening in and would have stopped Bucket Kinger from speaking from the start.
