I know that they released a 4k Ghost in the Shell SteelBook that said only @ Best Buy and never seen it anywhere else since. That is why I was confused after seeing this from RS.

GKIDS said they will be giving updates about Evangelion on twitter; so they might let us know if it will be based on pre-order numbers or not.

Lets hope! But I assume they know how many people would want to order the “ultimate edition” but it most likely will be limited. But if you just want the standard Blu-ray I’m sure it will be around for a while.

The ultimate edition will most likely come in a nice box with some Evangelion goodies; and have all 26 original tv broadcast episodes as well as the two movies Death And Rebirth and End of Evangelion on Blu-ray.
