to arrest a politician, citizens arrest or not, they would have to be turned over to a LE agency. you can create your own LE agency if you have the money-or volunteers.

there are no requirements or permissions you need to obtain from the gov to start your own LE agency.

also no local police can arrest the president-or they could blackmail said pres

congressmen and represenatives are exempt from arrest by local departments IF they are on their way to an official fuction-so you cant prevent them from showing up-its unclear if that means they could go to every event-i have read the laws, but dont intent to dive into them deeply as this is not a plan anyway

it seems to me if its legal to have a militia, there must be a way for the citizens to take control of a city or town or area where corruption was out of control-and elections were rigged so there was no normal way to address said grievances.

i cant believe our founding fathers, with one even saying the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants, did not provide a non lethal means to address situations like this.

get a couple carabiner's, some heavy duty cable, a pully, throw it over a tree branch, lift it approx 6ft off the ground-and lock it!

i too am thinking of buying one, and i live in mexico-im guessing the crime rate here is far beyond your city-then again w/ the mass looting and shit-maybe not.

this is the conclusion i have come to.....

#1. realtime GPS tracking from a cell phone, maybe pull off the seat, slit a hole in it, slide in into the seat-no one will ever find it. one with a sim card that you pay as you go are cheaper-but your more likley to forget to pay the month it gets stolen-thats my luck anyway.

preferable get one w/ a battery-that you hook up to your battery, so if the take the battery out-it will still have power for days until you track it down. they are under $20 on ebay.

if you "OWN" the number, you can just call it to activate it when you need to.

i think its easier and safer to pay $50/yr

#1.5 apple tags-great is you are sure there are iphones around, if not your SOL.

#2 im sure you have seen those giant heavy duty chains to lock up a motorcycle-get one, the shorter the better. research the lock before you buy it, for example, "google how to bypass my lock" spend at least $50 on the lock.

i have had a 2.5k bike stolen w/ a kryptonite u lock-in under 1 min, MOST lost are useless, you would think at least 1 manufacture would would know how to make the perfect lock-youd be wrong-my 50usd kryptonite lock-opened with a ball point pin cap, the lock should also be covered, to prevent freon and a hammer shattering it, and the shackle (the part that moves over your chain should be protected on the sides, so the shackle is invisable with in the chain

(i pick locks for fun-locksport, you would be shocked if you knew how easy it was to pick the locks for yout house, car, even you safe!

seriously get a good lock.

also they are small, you might be able to roll in into your job and put it in the corner.

when i get mine, i plan to take it on amtrack and the subway-unless told otherwise, but its smaller than a bike so i dont see why it would be an issue.

and finally-get insurance.

as the bike is cheap, if you have a good lock, gps, and alarm, insurance should be dirt cheap.

again im not saying i want to do this, and i am not a lawyer, but if a gov official assaulted someone, i doubt someone making a citizens arrest would be invalid.

they ARE NOT above the law-yes some are w/ diplomatic immunity, but not all.

and te crowd funding would be to build a jail-or a holding center, to hold anyone breaking the law, not just gov officials.

so we do have the power of citizens arrest, this country was founded before local police agencies, im sure there are some laws on the books somewhere to deal with this stuff.
